THAT'S A GS BIKE?!?!?  Holy Crap!  That is sweet.

I agree about the exhaust.  Looks nice from the back, but from the side IMO it sticks out too much.  What front fairing is that?

It's actually rubbing on the swingarm a little and as close to the frame as possible. Looks much better in person. But until you actually do an undertail exhaust on a GS, it's harder than you think on how to route the piping. Some of the others on here have done it and they can testified to this.

Whoolly effin sheet!!!  That is by far the best looking GS I've evar seen!!
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Incredible work; your attention to detail is excellent (the RED chain, RED brake torque arm, RED swingarm pivot-bolt caps)... Now, I'd like to ask some questions:

Are the rims powder-coated Aztec Red, or is that the same type of paint used on the rest of the bodywork? Were the wheels spray-bombed, or is that from a paint gun?

Did you paint the frame, or is that simply the best-looking '96 (stock black) frame and swingarm in existence? Looks like you might have repainted it, possibly from rattlecans...

Do you work in the industry, or is this simply a hobby?

How much machining was required to make those F3 rearsets and passenger pegs work?

Did you install an oil cooler to compensate for the reduced airflow to the engine?

What type of jetting changes (if any) did you have to make to compensate for that extended exhaust system?

Judging from the colors on the plywood, you did SOME spray-bombing; what did you use the rattlecans for, besides the screens under the seat, and maybe the swingarm caps? I can't see any distinct outlines on the plywood, so I can't tell what you used the spraycans for...

What car is in the background? Can't see it clearly...

Did you powdercoat the forklegs, or were those also spray-bombed?

Awesome work; where/when can I see it in person?

Are you planning on writing any how-to articles for us? I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like more details...

Would you like to trade that GS for a heavily-mangled pickup truck? It has 233K miles on it, and it runs (more or less)...
This space for rent...

Yep,

I have an undertail exhaust on mine, and it is a PITA to engineer.  Your bike looks great in my opinion.  I spent most of my energy on making the chassis better on mine, I have no patience for cosmetics, but I sure apreciate how other people can make them look pretty.

I love the rear rotor you've got on that thing. its so cool.
Oh and btw nice.... everything else. The bike looks really good. I'm a sucker for black and carbon fiber, what can I say, it just looks good!
I'm not jealous of you guys... I swear.... :icon_rolleyes:
I aspire to be like you two and have a GS that's at this level of coolness.

Hands down the best GS I have ever seen. Just incredible, very nice work all around. I think the exhaust looks great as it is.

Everything was done with a rattle can except for the fairings. You can tell the tank is not as glossy as the fairings. I got a local paint dealer here to mix me a batch of Nissan Aztec Red.

The wheels with tire on were taped, sanded, primer and sprayed. The frame and swingarm were already black so I sanded it done a little and repainted it with flat black engine paint. The fork legs, mesh screens on the frame and fairing were done the same way.

There's really nothing to write up. The fairings are pretty straight forward if you get them. All the other infromation such as painting, changing sprockets, installing the bandit wheel, rearsets, pegs, ect I got help from the forum and Pablo's website. But if there is something specific, then I could probably do a short writeup.

This was a hobby. It took me three months to strip her donw, paint and put back together.

The other Nissan Aztec Red vehicle is a tuned 93 Nissan Maxima. If you look on the wall on one of the photos there's a similar picture of what the car looks like. I would like to trade her for a Dodge Durango if anyone is selling.
