I just ran into another rider at the Seattle Home Depot while looking for an annoyingly hard to find metric nut.  Then when I walked outside, I saw the GS500.  Any of you guys?

Ogg: Not spear, caveman.

It was RG.  Dave would have been at the liquor store.

aaronstj

No, I would have recognized either one of them.  And he for sure wasn't RG.  :)
I don't think it awas RVertigo, either.  Maybe Bluebellylint?

HA HA HA...  You damn tall bastard.

Was it a blue GS with a trunk and a ghetto-rigged red 1/4 fairing on it?

Bluebellylint

Or was it matte black with the OEM fairings for E models

Were you there too?  Damn metric bolts...

I still need a 2.5" long 8mm or 5/16 bolt with threads all the way up...  Why doesn't anyone make that?

Bluebellylint

Did you find the nut?
If you didn't you should try Tacoma Screw (in Seattle) they have some of the weird sized stuff that Home Depot and Lowes dont carry.

That's the one.

I was just looking for a 6mm nut for one of the battery terminals.  I ended up finding it.

Yeah... Sometimes you can luck out...  But, metrics are usually pretty hard to find at home depot. :icon_confused:

NightRyder

Dang I was in Home depot too. Just, the Everett one.

Tacoma Screw (in Everett) has everything, but they all cost 3x the price in Home Depot.

I know what you mean. I work PT at Home Depot but have to go to Ace Hardware for my metric fastener needs.
Common sense in not very common.

RVertigo

Ace huh?  I'll have to try that...   It would be cheaper than taking a day off to go to Tacoma Screw.
