Bought yet another one...

I bought yet another Gs500e today ( an 89..). I got it for cheap... no title yet but one may materialize...(not holding my breath but it may pan out-).

So it's fate hasn't been decided yet...The gas tank is shot...but it runs... Low miles too... Has a beat up chin spoiler but it looks to all bw there...

Might be a parts donor...might be a fixxer...

I need to find one of those 12 step programs.

If I had the time and dough to just buy the worn out bikes and make them whole to get new GSer's into the loop I'd do it in a heartbeat. I have yet to find an old one that is both the right price, and in the right condition to rehab and resell.

well if all else fails you can always change out the forks and tree and get those lovely clip-ons that we all wish the gs still had, well me anyways

Yeah it has the Clip ons.... You know I'm usually happy with the superbike bars from Bikemaster...

Fettcoils...you looking for a track bike or a street bike?

I haven't ridden a Gs regularly in a long time- I started on an 89 WAY back in 92 or was it 91.....

I've bought and sold more than a few since then (But I always seem to have one in my garage...).

Currently I have an 89, a 94 , a 92 and a 94 (This one I am assembling from a bare frame...It's been a rolling chassis for a while...Well I haven't touched that one in forever...always something else I'm messing with it seems.). The 92 and 94 ( both Purple ) will be for sale come spring... just a few odds and ends to do and get them inspected....probably inspect them at the end of march.....

Let's see...Started with an 89 (black red silver)...had a 95 teal one ...a 92...a 92 again...a 94. Another 92 ( All 3 92's have been purple with pink graphics...go figure ) and a 93...plus the 94 bare frame project and now another 89....

9 Gs's.... Holy crap. Well wait...10...I had an 89 carcass I got for the 94 bare frame Job for parts...(but I can't count that one really..)

I need a bigger garage.

I'm thinking about picking one up for second duty on the street. I had an '04 but it bit the dust with a little help from a Camry...

Wow, that sounds great. Wish I could find one inexpensively. I would like an upgrade from my '75 KZ400D. Looks like you've got quite a collection of GS's.

I have been tossing around the idea of trading my 88 fz750 (looks ratty but only 13k miles and runs like a champ) for a gs500 that already has the goodies done to it. I need something a little less leaned over. I can send pics if interested. Just reply on here I will check back often.
