the first ? is easy. when i was newbie i have other keys with the bike key. now i just use the bike key alone. now how do i get ride of the black marks on the triple tree? i have tried rubbing compound amd go gone. the stuff worked a little bit but it still annoying that the black stuff is there

second ?. i just changed my front brakes with the ebc organic pads. i just noticed a wierd noise now coming from some where in the front of the bike. it only happens when i use the front brake. the noise decreases with speed.the noise is hard to describe. the noise is like a whinny with a little bit of scraping of something. i hope this is not a big problem i have to use it to go work on monday.

budget speed demon

are you sure you put the pads in the right way? I've seen what happens when there put in backwards...
it could also just be typical brake squeak. it can happen if you rotor is a little bit warped.
Stealth GS parts include;carbon fiber headlight faring, chin spoiler,V&H full system,NHK steeringdamper, titan solo racetail,cbrF2 carbon fiber chainguard, proformance forksprings with emulators,SS front brake line, gsxr remote reservoir rear shock, pirelli sport demons,79mm pistons(555cc)-more to come

scratch

The black marks are also why I only keep the bike key on a seperate key fob.  Those marks may be permanent.

Is it a shushing sound? (shush...shush...shush) And, does the sound speed up with bike speed? (shush, shush, shush)  If so, it's normal.  The pads may yet need to break in.  But, I would be concerned as to what Speed Demon said, if true that the pads are in backwards (I don't think you can put the pads in backwards on '94 calipers).
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

All the EBC pads I have used have a "whirrr" sound to them under braking. I always liked it.
Common sense in not very common.

Yes I'm sure I put the pads on right. The noise only happens when I use the front brakes. The sound is kinda like a shushing.  I'm hoping the same thing that there just not broken in yet. Well I'll see tommorow if the noise stops. Going into LA area so they should be broken in by the time I get to where I'm going.
