Sidi Verts....down twice and still  :thumb:

the one good thing about GStwin forums is that unfortunately a lot of people are able to truely vouch for a gear's crash performance.  :o

I think i'll go with the alpinestars touring series boots, i went and looked at them today, nice boots. Kind of expensive, but oh well.

Noooooooooo, go with the Joe Rocket Orbit boot. I like them a lot... sturdy. Look good with jeans. And only $80

Honestly, I really like how my Sidis look with jeans. They're pretty comfy too. If they fit your foot right, and the price is right then go for it. Make sure that whatever you get fits you well, though!

if it where me i'd get theses http://www.newenough.com/alpinestars_gps3_boots_page_.htm    or even the smx3 . i'm the kinda person that likes the boot to go up past my ankel . i'm riding in my motocross boots ( go about . 3 inc. from the bottom of my knee) there a little stiff and made for standing up most the time but i feel the most protected in them :)

I've got the Setup Gran Prix boots. Pretty comfy, good for walking around in, and decent protection. Crashed em at 15 and 45 mph and they're still goin strong.

Wow... those Sidi boots are really really expensive. Heck... a pair of Sidi boots cost more than my entire 2-piece leather suit!

Is there any place that sells Sidi boots cheap? I doubt it... but worth a shot. Right now I wear a pair of Stanley work boots. Not really all that comfortable but they have lots of padding protection.

Check eBay, but the Sidis are easily worth their price. I got mine for ~$200, and you can get the Strada Evos on eBay for $150 or so, probably. They have comfort and protection.

Vertebra 2's.

They were on sale over on Newenough for $180 or so a while ago.  Trying to make room for the new style.  Might take a look.

I think they're worth it.  They're very comfortable, well made, and convey a lot of feel from the footpegs.  Part of what swayed my decision were the good reviews from numerous crash testers.

The Sidi Squeak is good for attracting girls too!   :thumb:
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Alpinestar Web Gortex boots for me too, bought them from a guy off ebay (best purchase on there so far) for about 90 bucks shipped!  Great boots I love 'em!  Also, if you like to keep your leather "shiny" buy Leather Lube by "Sof Sole" it works GREAT!
