This irks me.

My FJ1200 needed new tires before the spring, so I spent about a week researching different tires and their benefits.  I finally concluded that the Dunlop D205 was the best tire available for the FJ (Strange rear tire size, 150/80r16).  I found a good price at Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse and called them up to order a pair.  I was told that while they had the rear in stock, they were no longer carrying the front tire anymore, as they are now carrying the newer sport/touring D220, and that I should look elsewhere.  Some of you might remember my post about the used tire fiasco, well that came and went but I still needed a new front tire.  While checking eBay today, I came across this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4612463832 , an auction from MAW selling off the remaining 97 D205 front tires.  I'm pissed here because it ended up costing me an extra $20 in shipping charges and they lied to me.  Just a rant, but this kind of poor customer service pisses me off, I 've spent well over $1000 with them in the last 5 years (AGV helmet, 2 sets of tires, 2 jackets, 2 sets of gloves, etc.) and this is how they show gratitude.  Grr....

I've never been a big fan of MAW.  Unfortunately I've bought a couple things there while being a cheap@$$   I don't plan on buying anthing from there again

it was likely just a misunderstanding.  I seriously doubt a salesman would have told you to look elsewhere for a tire if he knew they had it right there in stock.

maw has had issues in the past.. but they are still a good retailer..compared to some of the stuff out there.

I asked the lady on the phone and she told me that they were done carrying them for good.  What I think happened in retrospect is that they sent the tires to another section of the company, the eBay sales division or whatnot and took them out of inventory.  It's the only way that would make sense, who knows, they're still the cheapest overall retailer I've found, by far.

edit: They were listed as "Out of Stock" on the website when I ordered, but the saleswoman said they were not expecting another shipment and that's why I should look elsewhere.

that's true, and a good possabillity.  I buy from Sum Of All Parts regularly and purchased something from them over ebay.  when I called to confirm some special instructions they told me they couldn't help me because the store and the Ebay division operate completely independant of one another.

Damn, well I'm sorry I missed out then.  Rest assured, I'll take it off your hands after this tire is done.  Is it the complete kit or just the wheel?  How much would it be shipped to Chicago?  Let me know exactly what else you have available, I need parts for her.  Thanks Werase!
