Indian Larry died from this stunt but he wasn't wearing a helmet.

I say to each his own. The PIC looks good MAN. I won't risk it, but everyone likes to watch stunts.

next time wear some leathers DUDE. road rash at 30-40 mph still freakin hurts like a Buddha Loves You.

kaki's are OK for a short drive but stunting ups your risk.  and those scars dont go away.  trust me.
Not the brightest crayon in the box, but I can still be seen from a distance.  ;P

I'm to old for s*it like that, but I do like watching it. :thumb:  Nice picture, I think if i tried something like that my mom would have beat the crap out of me with the camera.. Glad to see you have a helmet on.

throttle locks/ CC's are only 20 bucks man. the deceleration is what makes the bike unstable.
the left side of the bike is always from the riders point of view.

kidcoma

I give you props for pulling that off but doing it in public is stupid in my opinion. It's one thing to endanger your own life but when you put pedestrians and other motorists at jeapordy because you want to show off is not cool.

I agree that stunts like these are dangerous but I really was not putting anyone elses life in danger.   Literally no children live on my street and I made sure no one was coming my way.  Im not saying it was 100% safe but I did not do the christ until I was passing my house and there are no other house on my side of the street.  I only hadto worry about one side of the street and one family was not even home.  Im not saying its okay but I tried to be as safe as possible.  I think it is much easier going about 40mph so when I get up it is going like 30.  Should I use the choke or the idle if I want the bike to keep going?  It seems like both would work.  I want to try this trick with both feet on the seat maybe but I will do it in a parking lot.  Also I will try and face forward eventually but I am taking small steps.

Idle.  Wear gloves, please.  I'm glad you're wearing everything else.  Was there any parked cars?
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

You know...  I've thought about it...  I've even pictured myself doing one of those...

But, I still think you're out of your f%$king mind.

dyran

Nice trick but keep it to private roads and don't you like your thighs? There are easier ways to get them trimmed down than not wearing proper riding pants....

rangerbrown

get a throttle stop so you can hold you speed but hope that it doent gost ride on you.

for you sake get gloves
leather pants
boots and a better jaket with back brace you will thank me latter

if you fall even at those speeds you can severly injure you hands, knees, and ankles

I have a bunch of stunting videos and I really like that shaZam! they do. But I never try it, mainly because I don't wanna f%$k my bike up. But...

Tonight my brother and I were f%$king around on the scooter. I was pulling up wheelies and got one up like 3 feet and rode it out. Jon and I were dying laughing about it. I did one more run and pulled up one wheelie. I put it back down and decided for some reason that I wanted to stop right there rather than go up the block and back. I grabbed the brake and lost control. The bike started going down and I somehow dove into the grass, but clipped my brother's bumper on the way.

What I'm saying is that even though I ate shaZam! at under 10 mph, my arm and side are hurting pretty bad. It just made me wonder how bad a wreck at 40 would hurt.

Oh yeah, and the bike doesn't run now. Be careful, wear your gear, do it in a controlled area, and have a plan in case you bail.

I know guys I need to get pants, but you dont think my jacket will do the job.  Damn.  I might just stop for a while but I have been doing them pretty damn good lately.  I can finally face forward and just go with it for a good bit of time.  If i ever do have a fear then it might get wobbly I just jump down.  IM gunna stop for a while so I can get better gas mileage.  my last tank I only got 40mpg and 47 the tank before but this is all stop n go and when I got 40mpg i was ringing it out pretty hard and accelerated to 9mph quite a few times on the tank?  Is that reasonable mileage for ringing out the GS?  This tank I am going to baby it and see how much mileage I can get.  When I got 40mpg, lots of the riding was done during the day back and forth on my srteet learning the christ.  THis probably had something to do with it also.  IM starting to think about wheelies but I dont want to have to clutch them up.  Would sprocket changes enable me to bounce a wheelie because I dont really feel like doing damage to my clutch.  I was thinking about modifying the bike slightly so that it could be a stunt bike but I imagine the value would go way down.  I think I might just wait untill I get a 600 to stunt, something like a 03 zx6r ninja 636.  I love the GS thought she has pep I just mainly get to do stop and go traffic though.  I normally dont cruise for more than like 3-4 minutes, then stop for atleast half a minute and take off again.

Bottom line, I love this bike.  Im thinking of just a few tiny mods like ignition advancing because my bike seems to lag right when I take off.  I probably wont turn it into a stunt bike because I want to keep it in good condition.  I just love the bike and I dont think I will sell it when I upgrade.

Funny... My mom would expect that of me but I'm not really into doing that kind of stuff...

What I really want to learn is the "rolling burnout"      Yeah... I could see some fun with that one.

Pain hurts.  :o  :cookoo:

You heard it here first.

Get fullgear that fits snug so it doesn't twist when you hit the pavement. Gloves, Boots, Pants, AND Jacket.

Good luck.  :thumb:

Yeah I was expecting to see a bearded guy OR some kind of religious experience ..

I'm too chicken to do that kind of stuff ... I don't like pain  :flipoff:

Seems like a quiet enough street if you were reasonably careful.  That would be my beef is that you put others in danger.  At least you are smart enough to wear a helmet.  People said about Indian Larry that he was a living legend and lived by his own rules and how much they admired him etc. etc. etc.   I think it was a stupid way to die but it beats the hell out of growing old and dying of infected bed sores in some nursing home!!

SOrry I don't have any tips for you.
