Hey everyone, im new to motorcyles, and i am looking to buy the 2006 GS500F, the only thing holding me back is the paint job, for some reason i think that the black on white, and the blue on white just doesn't look good.

Please leave your input, adn tell me if you agree or disagree, any suggestions are much appreciated.
The pics of the two paint options are on the suzuki website if you need to refresh your memory.

Why not go with the '05 Black/Silver then? It has red highlights and looks the shiz.

hahaha, i love it.  you're going to get flamed now.  wait...you were joking, right?

Yeah, I'll agree though shagnasty, the GS500F paint jobs have sucked since 2004.  Not a day goes by that I don't want to re-do the graphics on my 05.

It doesn't cost much to have some of the parts painted to match. Tail, undertail, hugger, and front fender cost me $125 - 150

Fett's (CRASHED) Ride-Flush Mounts, Aluizio Undertail, Aluizio Hugger, Wileyco w/flange, K&N, Sudco Jets, Custom Painted Tail & Fender, 2wheeljunkie LED Tails & Factory Clip-ons       Now I'm rolling an old school GSXR1100 w/1260cc kit built by Joe Marasco himself and two Harley 883 sportsters!

If the paint job doesn't look good then you'll have no qualms about laying it down.

Who gives a damn about the paint job?

You can't see it when you're riding. ;)
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Actually, the '06 GS500F isn't black on white - it's silver and black. I just bought mine last week  :icon_razz:

afplayboy18

damn, that black and silver looks awesome.

on suzuki's website it looked black and white, thats why i went with the blue and white.  if i had seen it in person i'd have gone with the black/silver GS.

nice pic also jbsprocket

Well the Black/Silver 06' looks very nice (one of the nicest F models outta the bunch), the blue looks not so great. It just seems like the paint sceme doesnt match properly.

other than that its pretty much the same as the older F's.

That is a nice paint scheme.   :thumb:

I saw the black/white scheme at the Toronto motorcycle show back in December and there was no silver in it.  The pics on the U.S. site look the same as the pics on the Canadian site.

I wonder if Suzuki changed their minds about the colours after publishing all the marketing material.  Or might it be a custom paint job?

I also attended the Dec Toronto Bike show and the Blue/White model didnt look Navy like it does in the prev pic.

I have a pic of it somewhere at the show and its more of a greenish blue color not navy...I hope it stays navy cause the other blue makes it fugly!
