Then you put it all back together... go to your local parts store and buy the appropriate filter... good god, should I hold your hand too?

Do the crankcase filter now if youre super concerned with time, It's no big deal since you're going to have the breather vented if/when you pop on your lunchbox anyways - Done and over with

Build a center stand stop now and have it ready... install it whenever (if you install it before you get your can ready, it will seem like it took less time to do the whole project - truth is tho... the more times you setup and cleanup... the more time it takes overall better to just do it all at once)

Buy your air filter and have it ready to pop on.

Have your jets standing by.

Buy some paint for the flange and be waiting for the mailman to deliver it.... but try not to get any paint on his nice blue uniform! wait until he hands it over to you

Come on man, everything stated above (once you have everything in your posession) is an afternoon/evening of work... TOPS! If you don't want to take the time to do it... then don't!

To add my 2 cents in here, the Carbon exhaust I received from the eBay guy, did contain a FLANGE. It's build exactly like the flange we're all waiting for, just not the same length and shape i'd imagine. So yes some of these exhausts, mine being one of them, are coming with flanges that are meant to do the same thing our custom flange is meant to do, just meant for the bike it was ordered for, in my case a gsx1200.

Can we get an update on the progress please? Just wondering if i'm going to be including the exhaust if i sell gs. Just purchased a 00 sv650 naked a couple weeks ago and was debating on keeping both or selling the gs. i put a lot of work into the gs so i hate to let it go, but might need to for the finances for the sv. anyways so how bout that update.

So was I, and I imagine most Americans are pronouncing it that way, that's why I posted it... but the company is Italian. It's probably actually a sales hurdle for them here, I imagine in some circles if you pronounce it correctly, no one's going to know what you're talking about. Unintended consequences.

Akin to Teva, Adidas, Shoei, and so on. If you pronounce those brands correctly, people will think YOU'RE the dumb one.

It's Sho-ee. Or Show-ee, but without the W sound.

I say "gix-er" with the hard G, but I hear most people saying "jixxer".

Wow, I've only heard it pronounced "Jixxer".  If you say GSX-R fast, it sounds like "Jixxer".  I try to avoid every saying it and always call it a GSX-R.  I only hear high school kids calling them gixxer's.
