From the number of members that have expressed interest - we should have a higher turn out than our Carlisle trip last year - IF everyone who says they are interested is able to show up.

June 23rd is coming up, too! Check out Jetswing's Countdown To The Meet Timer:
http://gs500.variders.com/countdown.swf

Also, here is what we have planned so far for ideas:
[/b]

Meet n' Greet - Get together with some fellow GStwin.com members! Show eachother our bikes, put a "face with the screen name", and have some fun!

Camping - We'll be camping at Sandy Valley campground. They have a game room, a swimming pool, a volleyball net, and a full service general store. Check their website for rates. We also plan on roasting some marshmellow's, doing a cookout, and maybe even a few drinks!

Group Ride - Imagine riding with a group of fellow GStwinner's! Check the Rally page for the route.

We plan on having a blast! We had a great time at Carlisle, and we are hoping this to be just as much if not more fun that that! So come along and bring a riding buddy, your spouse, etc.! You don't need a GS to participate, just be a member or a friend of a member from GStwin and appreciate the "lovable little twin" GS500.
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Unless something comes up coun me in (Nick).  My fiance and I will probably both go.  Looking forward to a group ride.

Not to familiar with that part of PA yet.  Dunno if this will help any of the group ride planning:

Well, you will just have to make sure nothing comes up!  :icon_razz:

Does she ride too, or is she going to ride 2up?

She has her license and rides too (hardly ever) but we only have the one GS, so 2up. Not sure how we would transport our camping gear. Probably would have to take a car and bike.

Phaedrus

Nick has brought up an interesting point - one that we all might want to consider: Transport Camping Gear!

Personally, I plan on taking advantage of their tent rentals. Or possibly a cabin, I'm not sure which. I don't even own a tent, and the only one I have access to is a large one that would be impractical to carry on the bike. So you might want to consider either a tent or cabin rental. Check the website for rates, they are not unreasonable: http://www.sandvalley.com

We can go in on group cabin rentals.  That would be fun, like girlscouts.

Haha. Well, that is a Friday so I imagine some people will want to get there Friday night. You are not far from there anyways, you could make it over Saturday morning without a problem I am sure. But I'd rather be there Friday night, so I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn on Saturday morning and ride for 4 hours. I am sure others will want to come hang out Friday night too.  :thumb:

BSD, definitely try to make it. Where do you live / which way would you be coming from? 8-9 hours sounds like a lot, but maybe if you could ride a couple hours and then meet up with another member, the right to and from would seem a lot quicker!  :thumb:
