I will be there on Saturday for the day, but not sure about staying for the whole weekend yet (Fri-Sun).

P.S.- Chris (Weaselnoze), if you're going up on Saturday also, maybe we can meet up and ride there together since we're pretty close to each other?

I have to work at 8am to about 1ish on that Friday...I'm so pissed about that...But I plan on heading over to Sandy Valley at least by 2:30....I guess we'd get there by 6 or 7pm with rush hour and all...maybe it's not terrible that I have to work, but hopefully time is good and I am not stuck on my bike for 4 hours in traffic.  OY!

well im assuming that the ride is gonna be fairly early. 8-9? so us kmart cats should prob expect to meet pretty early.

Yeah, the group ride was decided to start at 10am from Sandy Valley.  If it is a huge deal, I am sure we could bumpt is to 11am or something, if it works better for the majority of the group.

Gino - I am not sure what route you are taking, but Sandy Valley is actually north of Allentown. So to meet them in Allentown, I believe you would have to ride south and then back up with them?  :dunno_white:

Well, I thought to myself "Self: What are you going to use for a sleeping bag that is easily transported on the bike?". So I took to walmart and bought this for $10:

It is small and lightweight and fits on the bike nicely. While I was there I also noticed the "hiker's tents" for $35.00. They are the one-man tents that are light weight and will fit on the bike without much issue. Just in case anyone is interested.

Also, with regards to the route on Saturday's group ride, remember we are going to follow the route suggested by that motorcycle roads website located here:

http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/pa93.html

Jetswing altered the route from a one way ride to get us back using some map software, and planned out a nice little guide for us at:

http://gs500.variders.com/rally06/ (click group ride section)

So it says it is pretty scenic, and should be noob-friendly and friendly for those that will be riding 2-up. I think the pace is good the way we have ridden before (for those that have ridden with the NE GS group already). Moderatly paced, noob friendly, yet semi sporty.

Would anyone like to lead or atleast take turns leading the group ride? Someone familiar with the area? At this point, I am nominating Chris or Julie but anyone is welcome to step up here..

It was Jetswing that made the Rally page. He also did the design of the gstwin.variders.com FAQ.  The guy's a web genius  :thumb:

Ohhh fleece... very soft and cozy.  :thumb: I may have to pick up one of those sleeping bags too... if I decide to stay overnight, which I might. (I inquired about a cabin but I'd prolly only stay overnight Sat. night if I do.)

I'll check out that route (website) in depth tomorrow and maybe take a ride up there sometime over the next 2 weeks to check it out & ride it. Maybe I'll take the lead, unless Chris wants it, or anyone else for that matter. I prefer to follow anyways, but I've been up that way before (just not in a long time).
