I've never had Miller Light. But if it is anything like that crap last year at the hotel..it's gonna have to be ICE COLD!!  :icon_razz: I'm not much of a beer drinker (but drink tequilla like I was born to), but Labatt's Blue agrees with me. I'be be up for trying some miller lite. What the hell why not

Amanda - Yeah, I'll see if I can squeeze in my can of chain lube. I did a "test pack" of the bike the other day and actually have some spare room, so I'll try to get it on there.  :thumb:

I just got in from a night out with my girl at the Drive In movies. I have some things to do before I leave tomorrow too, so I should prolly go to bed now. But I'll checkt he thread in the morning before I head out just to see if I missed anything  :icon_mrgreen:
Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Yeah...I'm sure you had some "things to do."   You are leaving her for 3 days, you better do some things!!

It's 8am and I am at Manny's.  We are going to start getting ready and leave my house by around 1:30ish.

PS. His brother is coming too.  So Manny won't feel like the only outcast with a non-GS bike.  Be prepared for extremely loud exhausts.

Rich, we'll miss you, and never forget you. <3

So there's a 70% chance of 'strong storms' this evening, 80% chance of thunderstorms all day Saturday, but fortunately Sunday should be alright for the ride home.  I swear it's because I'm planning on doing something outside this weekend.  If I had no plans, it would be sunny.

Depending how the weather looks when I get home from work today, I may or may not come until Saturday.  I know I know I'm a wuss.  I don't mind getting wet or riding in the rain, but I think spending the night wet might make riding tomorrow miserable.  If it's not too bad I'll come, but if there is flash flooding like they're predicting, I'll be there first thing Saturday morning.

You can't always plan on the weather being good to you, so you just gotta live your life and make the best of whatever life throws at you  :thumb:

I'm gonna go pack the bike and do some whatnots - I'll see you troopers there tonight, and the rest of y'all tomorrow. Let's make this the best GStwin meet n' ride to date!!  :thumb:

So its pouring here in williamsport, and theres a big block of rain on the radar moving across the state. figures.  I'm going to try to suck it up and still come tonite. Im hoping the rain is outta here by 4pm so i dont have to ride to the campground in it. If not i might try to wait it out and come later tontie or early sat.  And my fiance is bringing the car behind me, that means ill have a case of yuengling when arrive, so being wet shouldnt matter.

SuZuki10

bargovic, with that case of yuengling, you will be my boyfriends instant best friend for the weekend.

Well it's friday night and it looks like one hell of a storm is coming in.  It'll probably be raining cats and dogs tommorrow.  I'm bringing the bike into work with me saturday and I'm heading up to meet you all saturday evening.  If it rains hard, what the heck, I used to love riding the gs in the rain!  I'm too fat now for my old rain suit so I'll just get soaked!  Well, you get wet when swimming too, so no harm done, RIGHT??   I'll bring a change of dry cloths.!!

Im probably not the first back. But first back to post. woot. Oh yeah and im soaked. well worth it tho.

I should add, i did the math for this weekend:
14 riders, 11 bikes, 325+ miles, 78 beers, 10 hours of sleep, and 0 showers. OK, maybe 2 showers.

pdg108

Number two!  Yep, little soaked.  But dry already.  Got to go hold down my couch!
The GS500 is the safest bike on the planet, it can just barely kill you.

Great ride yesterday all.  Started alittle slow, but got more spirited as we went along.  Nice to meet everyone that I didn't know.  Amanda, please send me more information about the get together thursday night in Freehold.  Manny, good luck on your test.  Ride back went pretty smooth.  Randy and I took the main roads back.....80-46-31 and home.  Only hit light rain for the last 25 minutes of my ride and was home by 8:30.  Can't wait for the next get together.

Wayne

SuZuki10

Manny, Rich, and I all made it home.  We got hammered with some rain at times, and then drizzled on for most of the way.  So we are drying off now, and Manny is helping my dad put up the new TV.  We'll probably fall asleep in front of it soon.
Great seeing all of you, and meeting the new people!  We'll be waiting for our neighbors Dave and Tammy to sign on.

Wayne, I'll PM you when I know more about the times and meeting places.

I made it home without incident. I rode through about 30 miles of light rain (only about like it was when we left the camp) but after that it cleared up and wasn't bad. I was dry by the time I got home.  8)

I had a great weekend, it was really cool to see everyone again and meet the "new" people. The weather could have been a little sunnier - but we made out really, really well considering the forecast. I had a blast. The ride was cool, but my favorite part was just hanging out - like we did last night.

You can't go wrong when you spend your weekend with a bunch of motorcycles, campfire food, great people, and of course beer.  :icon_razz:

Gino / Julie - You two missed one hell of a good weekend. The group ride was 98% dry. There was a brief time period where we rode into some rain but it lasted 5 minutes at best. And the little wetness we did have dried right up. It was cool and refreshing. Rain is what separates the bikers from the motorcyclists I guess

But anyway, I had more fun on this meet than I did the Carlisle one, and that was a blast, too. Kudos to everyone who come, participated, and partied it up GStwin style!  :thumb:

Actually I am just about to post pics. I was gonna put them in another thread in the general discussion section. More people will pay attention to them there, plus we can put a "56k warning" in the title. Kinda like we did for the Carlisle pics, and the other group did for their Deal's Gap weekend.

I'll have some up in a few mins  :thumb:

EDIT: Ok, check this out:

Awesome Saturday, Wayne and I left Princeton at 6:45 AM and got to camp arournd 10 AM.  Then spend about 5 hours of being lost in PA. It was fun meeting everyone.  Only rain was one shower in the middle of the day and some rain when I was almost home.  Wayne, make sure to bring your raingear everytime we ride from now on. :kiss3:
