Yeah I get singularly unobservant when I'm tired/hungry. Thanx btw.

I know it's coming, I'm too stupid for it to be far off.
Rich, RIP.

My SM2's are scheduled for deliver today. Woot! I'll take a few pics of them, maybe some rider position ones as well.

bargovic

Got em today, here are the pics:

Remarks:
- screwdriver worked well to get left grip off, and hairspray is like magic for putting it back on.
- front brake master cylinder took some faness (sp?) but its perfect now.
- the position is so much more comfortable, it feels alot better being just a tad lower in turns, and especially on the highway.
- only negative is i can feel a little bit more vibration with these bars. I did change to shorter/lighter bar ends too tho.

Overall they are worth the price. I'm more comfortable in that position and they look alot nicer.

Alphamazing

Shouldn't lock your elbows like that, but good demonstration on change in riding position.

On mine, I noticed that lighter bar end weights vibrated LESS than the stock ones.

when riding on the center stand its ok to lock your elbows, wear a t-shirt and sandals, and not wear a helmet.  Oh yeah and you can pull wheelies and endo's all real easy too.

CirclesCenter

Hahah, point taken.

I think I'll have my metal working buddy fab me up some of those in this next week or two, depending on how crazy life gets.
Rich, RIP.

I know this is kind of an old thread, but are those bars direct 'plug-and-play'?  Or would you have to fabricate something to make them fit.  I know the brake master cylinder doesn't have a lot of clearance.  Does it have to be re-positioned?

They are bolt on and go, no need for fabbing anything. The front brake master cylinder has to be rotated forward a bit to clear the instrument housing and the throttle cables need to be repositioned. That's about it.

one more addition to this install... ...
Make sure you try and have the front brake resivoir as far away from the tach as possible, even if it's touching...
My tach started bouncing around about a month after i installed mine...it was covered on the warrenty...the dealer said it rubbed into the tach and prolly shorted out the tach...

For Americans they are about $175 or so. I dunno what they are for Canadians. My father got mine for me as a gift and he paid around $90 + shipping.
