Pretty good flick...but then again I like anything with Drew in it    ;)

drew and sandler...odd combination but I like everything either is in.  I like watching it just to hear Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's version of "over the rainbow" at the end.  Best song ever...

i thought it was one of the stupidest movies ever. seriously, while they were fooling her, she never would of noticed slight seasonal changes or things of that nature? and what would they cut her @ night? And really, hey ya your just meeting me and i obviously got you knocked up, your trapped on this small boat in the middle of no where. Be cool with that would ya? and go ahead and take care of this kid you've never seen b 4. Why doesnt mommy love me daddy? stupid.

Actually, ash, they're in Hawaii.  Why would she notice a seasonal change?

There's actually people who deal with the very same thing all the time and the movie isn't decieving about how most of them are handling.  I believe you tried a little too hard to not like it.

"Temperatures in Hawaii range from the mid-70s to the mid-80s for most of the year. The mercury dips into the 60s during the winter months and rises to the mid-90s in the summer."

not much but noticeable changesplus the  hurricane season.

Not only that but the accident is sposed to occur on October 13. What happens when its x mas day or any holiday and their r decorations everywhere? I'd say their is a huge suspension of disbelief for this movie to work, thats my problem. I think their would be way too many "bad days" as they say in the movie.

Waking up to a bad-weather day in the middle of storm season (fall) wouldn't really be shocking...would it?  Also she only goes from home to the little diner...and nothing would really stop her dad from having her hang around the house one day or something.  You're still trying too hard to pick the movie apart...lol.

And they state that there are a lot of bad days in the movie.

Of all the movies in the "no-short-term memory" genre, I think this is the second best.  The first best being Momento. *

Her character in the movie just had way too much baggage for me.  For cryin' out loud, you work at a zoo, your good lookin'.  Funny.  Find a girl that isn't A) below average in the looks department and B) mentally handicaped. **

*There are no other films in this genre.
** Feel free to throw rotten vegetables at me now.

As long as I get lost in the movie, I don't mind suspending most or all disbelief. Heck, that's what we're asked to do with the Star Wars movies. I loved 50 First Dates (of course, I do like chick flicks). I like movies that entertain, and this one definitely entertained me with its unfolding chapters. I thought the end was adorable in a "chick flick" kind of way. Please..don't tell me you don't watch chick flicks with your girl, ash!?  :o ;)

No way.  I totally see Star Wars happening within my lifetime.  Just wait.  The government has got some stuff that we don't know about.  Light sabers are actually being tested in certain parts of the Middle East.  That's what they DON'T want you to know.

I don't doubt for a minute that much of the cool stuff we see exists....but I doubt it'll become common, or perhaps even be shown, in our lifetime.

wow I had forgot that I started this thread lol.  And as for the wouldn't she notice the weather change, its been 8- degrees in Dec or Jan and abnormally cool in the summer here in VA before just fora  day or two.  If she doesn't remember the previous day at all she would just think that it was a little warmer or cooler or just right every day that wasn't the norm for the time period that she got stuck in.  I couldn't imagine having a memory loss problem like that though. I mean imagine what it would be like waking up thinking your in your early 30's and then seeing an old person in the mirror.  It would probably kill you one day...
