My friend gave me this pipe that they had taken off one of his junk bikes its a Vance and Hines SS2R. Its in pretty good condition  and i tried cleaning it up lastnight with some never dull but it only helped a little bit. I did a search and someone said this stuff called MOMS, but i wanted to know it it could get out off this stuff. Its pretty tough. Who can polish this thing up if i cant get it to shine.

Thanks in advance.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof, is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools....

Thanks to advances in automation, Nike shoes will be made by robots. Unfortunately, the robots will be made by children in Malaysia.

You could always go at it with some 1500 grit sandpaper, or use a polishing wheel with compound.  Either way, you will spend some time at it, but you will get it to near chrome finish.

Nevr-Dul may help leech up some of that dirt/rust.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

If you have a dremel tool, attach the polishing wheel and get yourself some Meguiars Plastic X plastic polish. If you don't have a Dremel tool, you can get a polishing ball or a polishing attachment for your drill. I know it sound like "how the hell is plastic polish going to shine my metal exhaust can?" but trust me, it works really well. Plus, you are working with plastic compound so you don't have to worry about scratching or marring the metal as you would consider using regular polishing compound. This should do the trick.

That's corrosion.  Fair out the spots starting at 400 and working to 1500.  Use Aluminum Oxide sandpaper.  Then polish with an abrasive aluminum polish paste, or rouge and a buffer.

If you don't remove the corrosion before you polish it will show in the finish.
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?
