RedShift

Burnt out low-beam filament?   :dunno_white:

If you remove and check for continuity you'll know for sure. (Just make sure you don't touch the glass part of the bulb with greasy fingers.)

Redshift is right on the money, I had the same thing happen about 6 months ago. It may be something else but I am pretty certain you will find it is the bulb.

If you touch the glass with your skin, just make sure you wipe it good with alcohol and a clean tissue before putting power to the bulb.

Word. +1. and yeah.

I've had this happen to me more than once. Twice in my car for the headlight bulbs, and twice now with the GS. Accidentally yes, but be sure to wipe off ANY bulb you touch with your fingers. The oil gets on the glass and when the bulb heats up your oil traps the heat and causes the bulb to have a temperature differential  on the outside which causes the bulb to overheat and burn out because it can't radiate the necessary heat energy. Even the idiot-light bulbs need to be wiped off if you touch them.

It is most likely the bulb burnt as others have suggested. This is a good time to upgrade to a better bulb.   CHEERS !

I had the same...  But, it went out right when I was turning a corner...   :o  WHERE'D THE ROAD GO?!?!?

Turn your brights on and ride to the store to get a new bulb...  Take out the toolkit under the seat and replace the bulb (as the others said, NO TOUCH!)...  Then ride away with a new bulb and a smile on your face.

Silverstars are a great bulb.  Invest a couple of buck in your safety.  You won't regret it.
