It's hard to tell from just one pic with no close-ups, but it looks pretty clean - but that can be deceiving... Don't be afraid to ask questions. ask to see maintenance records if they were kept. Check the oil, ppl usually either take care of their bike or they don't. Washing a bike is easy to make it look good, but other things are easy to pick up too. check cables/wires. tires. brake rotor/pad thickness, find out if its been garage kept or left outside.

as for price, you can check the online bluebook, i dont know the link off hand, but check it out cause you can bargain by saying what its worth on paper. I paid 1200$ for my 1996 GS500E with 10K Miles on it last summer.

let us know how it works out.

I bought my bike like 3weeks ago from a guy in cary it was a 1996 with 9k on it. He was asking 2k but i got him down to 1500. Some of the things i would tell you to check that kinda bit me in the ass but it was not a big deal ..... Does the bike start right up mines was having problems/ solution was i needed new battery, fresh gas, and new plugs. All that cost like 40 bucks and i ws good to go.... Check to see what kinda shape the chain is in you dont wanna rusty chain. Make sure the fork seals aren't leaking. Have him run the bike for a bit make sure nothing leaks or smokes, and look in the gas tank to see if you have any rust in there. Oh and tire unless you dont mind buying new tires. Thats all this Newbie can think of.... Anybody got anything else.
