Ummm....where can I get a piston guide?

I tried this method to remove the stuck emulsion tube and piston guide.  THIS IS A VERY BAD IDEA (sorry Mike).  The tensile strength of the plastic piston guide is low.  It broke where it attaches to the emulsion tube.

So now I need a piston guide.  This is not enumerated in the fiches.  Anybody have an extra, or know where I can get one?

Edit: Oh, and to get it out, get a brass punch of the appropriate diameter, put it in the hole where the main jet is located, and hit it a few times with the palm of your hand.

Edit: Alternatively, does anyone know the type of plastic or the best method for gluing the plastic?

They're not in the IPC because they're considered a part of the carb body.  You can't order them separately according to my dealer.

What I suggest you do is call a few dealers to see if they have one, or look for a used carb or set of carbs steal the guides.  Due to the environment inside the carb glue won't last very long.  If you do try an adhesive, I would try a two-part epoxy.

A quick google search came up with this stuff, which might hold some promise:

Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

And I have a nicely rebuilt carburetor with all new rubber in it thanks to Mandres.  Hopefully, all of the new seals, combined with the adjusted valves will equal vroom vrooom!  It had a bit of  hesitation, which I hope will be cleared up once the valves are adjusted and the carbs are properly synchronized.

For the record, JB Weld and other common 2-part epoxies will not bond to the piston guide material.
