Missfiring...

Ok, I got almost 5900 miles already (05 GSF) 

Last time I had the bike checked (some 1500 miles ago), the valves were inspected and I was told that no adjustment was needed, and both sparkplugs were replaced. I'm no mechanic, but my guess is that either:

a) valves need adjustment
b) I need an oil change
c) chain needs to be lubed


ok, the last option can't possibly be a cause, but I do need to lube soon.

Anyway, when I turn on the GS, the engine misfires (or something like that). It sounds and feels as if one of the cylinders does not fire every few seconds. This happens whenever the engine is not boiling hot. So even after a warm up, sometimes when I pull the throttle, the engine will 'choke' for a bit, and then it will revv without problems.

Any guesses?

You may need all of those things, but only the first could possibly be the cause, and it's unlikely. 

More likely is either an electrical problem, fuel problem, or (unlikely) compression problem. 

Do you have a warranty?  If so, take it to the dealer and let them worry about it.

so warranty will cover it? if so, then I will take it to the dealer... but they always want to charge money for some reason and blame it on the customer

Yes, it sounds like a warranty issue.  There's always the "raising hell" option if they try to charge you.  It works especially well if you bought the vehicle from that dealer.

yes, is the same dealer I bought the bike from. Raisin hell? please explain so I can put it to practice if I need to 

by the way... can one take the bike back to the dealer under warranty for a checkup? as in: 'i have warranty, please check bike for any problems since I don't know much about it, i will pay $0...'

You could try, but I don't think it'll work.  You'd at least have to pay for the checkup.  That's not part of the warranty.

A regular tune and service, or a valve adjustment, new spark plugs, carb synchronization and oil change, are not covered by warranty.

At 5900 miles, you are 400 miles overdue for a valve adjustment.  It would be easier to remember to do your valve adjustments in increments of 4000; so your next tune and service should be performed at 8000.
