Driving my car home tonight (where i get a better sense of speed), I started to wonder just how sane I realy am for taking the 500 to 120 tonight 

So I want to know from the group how fast have you ever pushed your gs.

a large handful of us have taken it all the way out.  remember tho, with speedo correction you're not really doin 120.  subtract 15 percent.  its 15 right?

I've gotten my GS up to 105mph indicated, but with my expulsion of rare gases, I was able to catch a Farrari

It's about 10% to 15% off at least in the upper range. 120 indicated means you were probably going 110. Maybe. 

I've hit 115, but on an unoccupied country back road with not a car in sight. I will not go that fast in the city. Ever.

I have got mine up to 100 several times.    I live in BFE and lots of straight open highway out here.

160 km/h (and climbing) on the highway once, got cut off by a car and learned my lesson. Came this close; [-] to dieing. I'll keep it around the speed limit thank you very much... for now anyways.

Got to 170 kmh indicated in Germany. Thats with restricted 33bhp bike. At that speed I started moving together with trafic, instead of draging along

I hit 125 indicated on the gs. 151 indicated on the RR.

I had a moment of stupid and hit 105 (ind) on I-5 right before the Mercer exit.   




OK...  I've done it more than once.

ya i've hit 110-115 before. got pulled over one time going that fast. its not safe, its not smart, nd its scary. but if your a real rider you have to do it @ least once to know what your bike can do.

i haven't done 2 things on my gs:

+ open the throttle all the way (twist until you can't twist no more)
+ reach redline

most rpm's I've gotten to are 9000, and it sounds very manly.

How long have you had the GS subc?  I do both those thing nearly every time I ride...  Maybe I'm compensating for something.

I have a really small pee pee. So I do stupid things to make up for it.

Last week the COP said I was going 75mph in a 45, and I was like "damn, the bike said 85ish"
He got all upset. "I am tired of scraping you punks off the road".   I said "hey, I ain't no punk."  (he didn't laugh)

The fastest indicated on the GS was 112mph. downhill of course. but It was on an unmodded, non-rejetted bike with stock exhaust.

Someone has got to have gone faster than Pablo's 125mph.  Anyone?  Alpha?
