Who know's anything about full exhaust systems for gs500's

ok it's like this, my bike is in good condition, except for the marred to hell cobra f1s slip on and rusting header.  i want something, anything to replace this part to make my bike look and possibly perform a lil better.  i have done a little bit of research and all i can find is the full vance and hines system, is this all that is availiable? if you have this system is it really loud (i dont want to have an annoying bike) and is there any cons?

The major systems that were widely availible were the Yoshimura and the Vance & Hines. You'll see a Jardine or a Hindle every now and again, but those are very very rare. Laser Exhausts makes one for the E and F models, but it's something like $480 or something. There is a V&H full system on eBay right now for $275 Buy it Now/OBO. They will be louder, although probably not much different from your Cobra.

For the V&H and Yoshimura full systems:

Pros:
More power
Stylish
Sound change (deeper, louder)

Cons:
Rejet required
$$$$
won't work on F models

Why not just get a new can and sand blast and paint the pipe.  It would be a lot cheaper and would look good as new.  Or how about ceramic coating the pipe?  You can get it in a number of colors or even chrome    Plus its super strong, warranted against ever corroding again, and you'll get some perfomance gains to boot.  (has anyone tried this? couldn't find anything on the search. Seems like a great idea to me, or am I wrong?)

eBay or used. They aren't made any more. Nor are the Vance & Hines systems.
