question about top end speed

im a daily dirver on my gsf and i have a question about top end speed.  Im thinking of puting on a lunchbox and  down the front sprocket one tooth, well i loose a lot of top end speed? the reason im curious about this is beacuse i need to queep on moving at high way trafic and i want to make sure i can stil have enough power incase of an emergency to be able to speed up. thank you very much

I have both but I have an E...and I have a custom exhaust. My bike goes pretty good but I'm also alot lighter than other people. Acceleration is a bit quicker but I haven't really noticed a difference in my top end. It goes plenty fast. I've never had trouble keeping up. The stock airbox is really restrictive, that was my first thing to go. So go ahead and do the mods but don't forget to rejet...so you're bike won't queef...

k you can essentially keep same speeds, however youll run about 500 rpms or maybe a ill more higher with that setup. i had it on my 97

lunch box wont hurt your top end but you could lose some mid range, look at the dyno sheet from the home page its about what the bike will do give or take with your personal mods, captain shes give her all shes got i think shes going to blow,captain i cant give her no more (scotty,star trek) 1969 :mad:

ok this is what you do: go and buy the biggest front sprocket and the smallest rear sprocket you can find
