Alright guys, Which Fairing should I get out of the two pictured below:

The one with the single headlight
The one with twin headlights

Thanks for the info Demon... I'll have a look too, I'm not sure how much I like that part where the fairing ends and the windscreen is really narrow, before it gets wider again. But seeing it on a bike could change things!

Demon... Dude!!! You're a machine!  :o    Keep em comin'!

As for me, well I'm at work, so my research time is kind of limited!  :icon_rolleyes:

Looking at the fairings from ebay, I saw that they come with measely little 35W bulbs. But they're H3's, and a quick search on ebay yeilded some pretty powerful PIAA 55W/110W H3 bulbs with a color temp of 4150K for pretty cheap. So that would be a defenite need-to-swap.

Since you didn't provide an option for "They both look like junk", I didn't vote...

You have a clean looking GS; as far as lighting is concerned, I hope you don't do much night riding if you're going to switch to that puny little single light. Of course, the dual-light rig is just as ugly...

At least the Buell lights are big enough to look like real headlights, instead of something stolen from a Matchbox car... and in case you haven't noticed, you already HAVE a Cyclops light on your GS, the classic 7" round light it came from the factory with.

I can understand that you might want to change your lighting, though I personally prefer the standard 7" round headlight for standard motorcycles. Think of how ugly the naked GS would be with a smaller round light, or a rectangular one. I suffered through the days of the stupid rectangular headlights (my '82 Honda FT500 Ascot had one, which I immediately scrapped for a round 7" light), and now this crap is available... the clown at the dealership "warned" me about possibly violating the warranty; I told him I only paid $2000 for the motorcycle, if Honda wants me to ride with a rectangular headlight, I'm going to charge them $5000... Here's a photo of one identical to mine before I switched the headlight:

BTW, here's another vote against that cheap phony carbon-fiber trash; bad enough that people put plastic "chrome" junk on a perfectly good motorcycle, but fake carbon-fiber is ridiculous...

i like the single, but i would paint it. personally i can't stand fake carbon fiber. good luck on the votes

Opinions are like A-holes and boy does mine stink.

I voted 2 lights but only out of a lack of options. these are worse than the steetfighter helmet cover lights.

That Buell is so sweet, I am gonna need new shorts. (ewww...sticky)  I think I might sell my GS's and buy it.  ;)

Not the brightest crayon in the box, but I can still be seen from a distance.  ;P

Do you happen to know of where one can get the dual lights with the flyscreen? and What about cost?
There are some sources for dual headlights in this recent thread, otherwise I hear that the stock buell Lights are about $60 + flyscreen cost which I don't know

I did look at that thread, and I don't like the look of the buell style dual headlight without a fairing or a flyscreen. And in case You havn't noticed... the headlight  on the single light fairing actually looks like an EYE  :o (hence the cyclops) very much unlike the perfectly round headlight that is already on my GS which looks... well like a round headlight. :icon_rolleyes:

Yes I agree with your comment about the carbon fiber... that's why I stated in my First post "Oh and I may or may not paint over the carbon fibre to match my bike depending on how good it looks when I get it."   And the fact that it's fake carbon fiber, odds are that its gonna look crappy... so that means Paint!

Ya Thanks for that one, I had taken a look at that thread, but I don't like to look of the dual headlight without the fairing, to me it looks like there's something missing.

Thanks for everyone's input so far!
