just about to take fork apart...quick question??

i was gonna take the fork apart and get some new springs and what not, but had a quick question. Iam gonna be painting the whole bike black, and was wondering if i could make the forks gold? kinda like ohlins color...i kinda wanna do a black and gold scheme on the bike, is that possible? or should i just shut up?

The outer/lower part, no problem. You can paint that or have it anodized in the color you wish. The inner tube: You can go the Öhlins route and have it titan-nitride coated. $$$ though, and I don't know it that treatment adds to the OD of the tube (which would make it not feasible).
