2005 GS500F tach question

is the tach on a 500F 2005 electronic or is it driven by a cable?

Just incase anyone is confused by this post, 2004, 2005 and 2006 GS500 and GS500F's have an electricaly driven, analogue tachometer.

If you mess with your '04+ tach be sure to tighten the screws holding the contact plates. If you don't your tach will bounce all over the place as the revs rise and the vibes increase. This happened to me, so yeah. The tach went wiggity and I was totally pulling a wtf.

i think my tach is belt driven, and i hear the 2006's are laser.

My '04 is a combo of cable, electrical, laser, and chain...  SO THERE!!!

The US won't allow the whole bike to be nuclear powered as it would then be considerred a street weapon!
