But, if your pressure is too high or too low, you will not wear the tire evenly...  Too low will make the center flatter and too high will make the center steeper.

Just like with car tires...  The wrong pressure screws up your wear pattern.

Well...  Sorta...  It'll make the flat spot smaller, but flatter...  So, instead of |__________| it would be |--------|

With car tires you'll get a flat spot only in the center, which is normal for moto tires, but highly unusual for car tires.

Just run the right pressure and don't worry about it!   :icon_razz:

A higher pressure does cause the tire to become more pointed, which causes faster turn in, but not as compliant at full lean.
A lower pressure causes the tire to become less rounded and more flat along the center, thus causing a slower turn in, but can be more compliant at full lean.

These are both taking into account you're within a reasonable range from the "normal" pressure.

Honestly though, the reasons tires wear out in the middle faster than they do on the side for most people is that they spend most of their time going straight. Pablo on the other hand...
