EDIT: I searched for this, and it's listed for 1994 to 2000 models, NOT 2004+ models.

This makes the Sunstar sprocket that Phaedrus listed the only one confirmed for '04+ GSes.

Well, you didn't tell us you ordered and installed it. You just said you found one. Good to know it's a confirmed sprocket, though.

Teflon Nick is in the building! I swear this kid's bulletproof. He gets shot at day after day, but still lives on to post about sprockets or exhausts the next day.

I salute you!

Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

right on...i used your installation instructions on there. Thanks...but one thing...you need more than just needlenose pliers to get the o-ring clip out :icon_lol: definitely the most difficult part of the installation as i was afraid to destroy it :icon_rolleyes:

Yeah, how did you finally get the circlip off? I didn't even have the needlenose pliers on hand, but I wished I did. I guess they wouldn't have helped that much, but they would sure be better than a butterknife and a screwdriver  :icon_razz:

Mine came in about 6:30pm, and by 7:15pm I tested it.  :icon_razz:

I will confirm that this is the right part with the proper shoulder.

The bike is much more livable at parking lot speeds. With the 16 tooth I would often have to ride the cluth when doing tight turns. Now It will do those same turns with the clucth fully engaged.

Acceration is also improved. It won't power wheelly, but it scoots much faster now.

60 mph with 16t= just under 5000rpms
60 mph with 15t= 5500rpms

Thanks again melloGS

What's this "shoulder" thing you speak of? (don't know much about the sprockets)
