Can't get what I want!!!

Wondering if anyone can help me.... My local Suzuki dealership (the guy is useless and never seems to want to help) says that he can't get the 150 Jets or the K&N lunchbox filter that I want to complete the modifications on my bike... 

I've seen the K&N lunchbox online so I'm pretty sure that I can order it in... but I'm not sure about the jets... seems kinda crappy to have to order some jets and pay a bunch for shipping... but if I have to, I have to.

anyone have any ideas? I'm in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

I do like the idea of the performance increase of the lunchbox... and I REALLY like the idea of getting rid of the air box that always seems to be in the way and makes installing the carbs a pain in the A$$!

The jets are standard Mikuni jets that should be available through any reasonably well stocked dealer.  This is for two reasons. 

1. The mechanics probably have a stash of jets they have removed from bikes when they did re-jetting, somewhere in the shop - and what you need is probably in that stash.

2. the parts supplier they normally order tires, bearings etc. from and aftermarket parts catalog that they order exhausts etc. through will have them.  There might be a case where a particular supplier they work with does not list the exact filter you are after - but there are other sources and they have access to them.

My guess is that you ran into someone who was either too lazy or too dismissive of our "small" bike and simply did not wish to deal with you.  This is common in some dealerships, and not in others.

Try an independent dealer or some of the on-line stores.

Someone on the board has posted a very cheap price for the K&N filter - unfortunately I do not remember the source.  Do a search and it should show up.

Which type of main jets should I get? I know which size I need... but not which type that will fit our carbs.

When you call sudco to place your order tell them the type of bike you have and they will send the right size.  Or you can do a search on rejet, rejetting, or jet part list.  Somewhere on this board is the part list for the jets.  I know searching is a Buddha Loves You but give it a try.

Ya I know, they're massive compared to stock... but that's what the Guru's say to use for best results, so I'll believe it!
