Hey,

I'm thinking about changing my front turn signals... I don't dig the antenna's =).

This is what I'm looking at:

Really cheap at a local shop. 30 mins for them to install.

My fairing is aftermarket, and the pre-drilled holes are nice and big. These can go on no problem.

Available colours, white, black or carbon fibre.... should i go for the fake carbon fibre?  =)

I personally dislike carbon fiber, except where it adds a true performance gain (driveshafts, etc.) I'd go for the black. But that's just me. Also, instead of paying a shop to do it, this could be a fairly easy project for you, if you're mechanically inclined at all (as in, can turn a screw driver and run a dremel tool). Just my $.02

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

The visibility is so poor on 99% of aftermarket signals you might as well not even have any installed.

I'm serious, its dangerous as hell.

I have to agree with this one... I see lots of people with small aftermarket turn signals on sport bikes... they signal almost always, but you can't see a damn thing unless you know to look for the aftermarket signals tucked away on the faring.

Indeed.  After riding (or driving) behind other motorcyclists with aftermarket signals I can honestly say that they are just plain dangerous.  Probably the only reason I even noticed them being used was because I am a motorcyclist and knew to look for them.

I count on my signals to help save my behind!

I wouldn't necessarly say that i rely on them as much as i count on them as an added safety to cover my ass.

If i was driving a big soccer mom minivan and you had your nice bike with turn signals the size of quarters and i rear ended you, i would totally suggest to the lawyer that it be used against you in court. It is the same as all of those aftermarket turn signal lenses on cars... some of them are so poor you can't see ANYTHING when the car is signaling (that is if they're actually signaling the off time)

I know.. i know.. one should not rely on turn signals to tell them what other vechiles are doing, but as far as i know, the law cares if you signal or not.
