Well, it may be, it may be not, but once we set it then maybe we can go from there.

1st question: When you snap the throttle (open it and then let it snap shut), does it make a click when it hits the idle screw?  If so, good!  Continue to question 2.

2nd question: Are the carbs seated properly in the airboots, and are the airboots making good seals around the carb inlets and mouths?

Step 1: Completely screw all the way up the adjuster and lock nut on throttle cable under the right-hand switchbox, which houses the throttle tube.

2. Make sure the nuts on the throttle cable end, between the carbs, are at opposite ends of the threaded tube.  And, make sure that tube is threaded in the mount.

3. Pull up on that end til the cable is taught, not tight, and spin up the lower nut to the mount on the right carb.  Lower the cable enough to spin up the nut about 3-5 full revolutions, pull the nut up into the mount to see if it is at the right height where the cable is taught enough, but still allow a little wiggle when you wiggle the throttle (you should be able to see the cable...wiggle (/move)).

I'm not done yet.
I'm back.

Cont. This should be done at full lock right. http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=13005.msg109615#msg109615
Keep moving the nut on up, a little at a time, until you get most of the slack out.  Then tighten down the locknut (the upper nut), and check for the wiggle again.  You want that wiggle, dammit!  Quit laughing at me!

You're done.  Go out and ride it, 15 minutes, and then set the idle to 1100-1200rpms.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?
