Hey all,
Today I had the chance to go on demo rides for all yamaha models this year, crusiers and sportbikes. I will be breif because I don't want this to turn too much into a Yamaha ad.

But WOW! I rode Fz7, Fz1, R6, and a few crusiers. I had some extra riding time because I knew the guy running it but I had never driven any I4 or Crusiers before and so I was a bit nervous of not knowing what to expect. So I took my time of course, last thing I want to do is drop any of these bikes.

By reading the board here and all that I didn't think I was going to be a fan of any of these bikes really, but by the end of the day I did not want to get on my little GS to ride home.  These bikes were just very chrisp and fun to ride. I rode the FZ6 the most (a few hours) and felt very comfortable on it and there is a big difference in just about every aspect of the bike so it's hard to even compare. Crusiers are fun, but I am a small guy and was afraid to turn or drop the damn thing so I didn't ride them too long. Then there is the R6.. I first took this bike on a straight away back and fourth knowing it's stupid fast... I was right, and got up to 180kms in 2nd gear (my GS max is 185) so when I did go on a ride with the R6 (for my final ride) I was in the back taking it very easy.

To say the least I am thinking of upgrading after this year of riding, most likely to a Yamaha. I do find that I ride my GS much more aggresively (not to any limit but just feels like a different level.) Don't get me wrong the GS I would recommend to ANYONE wanting to get into the sport.  :thumb: Especially since another person I know got a CBR 600rr for his 1st and just wrecked it into a car (no collision so very costly) he is also really lucky and only got away with a broken foot and a few brusies. He understands that it was way to much bike for him and won't be riding anymore (for a few years at least)

Anyways just wanted to let ppl know that the new Yamaha's are available to to demo rides (in Canada at least) and check their site because it's free and it's worth it!  :thumb:
