Yes indeed a lot of time and money, I don't think I'm in that class but if this goes well I fancy istanbull in 2007 or 2008. I have organised breakdown and recovery insurance plus the usual type of holiday insurance and i have got most of the kit together that i will be taking. I found this common sense item very useful..

I have a couple of bits to get, a spare clutch cable and a couple of solderless nipples. I have a spare pair of levers and spare plugs. One unexpected problem after removing my winter lining from the Spada jacket I notice a distinct lack of pockets as with the lining there are two on the inside, one large and one cellphone sized. My armoured riding pants only have one small zippered pocket. I might revert to using my old "Buffalo" jacket as seen in my avatar or perhaps ride in my Hood jeans which have two good deep front pockets and two velcro fastened back pockets. If I can find one thin and light enough I might go for one of those fishermens "Gillet" things, like a waistcoat with loads of pockets under the Spada. I saw one today but it is lined and i dont want it too thick so I'm still looking and considering.

If I Do Istanbul I won't do it alone, there is a guy nearbye who is showing an interest ans also one of our board members from the U.S. is very keen but I suspect that getting three of four weeks to it would be his biggest obstacle. The longer trip might generate more baggage but on the other hand tools and camping kit could be spread over two or three bikes eliminating all the unrequired and double-ups before we go. Before I start to either Prague or indeed Asia Minor I will be doing a weekend run up to Bruxelles and possibly into Holland very soon just to get a feel for it. A good excuse to get some Belgian chockolates and maybe a couple of beers.

In Cricket the testicular guard, or Box, was introduced in 1874. The helmet was introduced in 1974. Is there a message??
