I was considering a rose one so that I would have a better outlook on the world.

I wear prescription glasses, so sunglasses are out of the question fo rme.

Me too, but I got some of those "transition" lenses. They work really well and I am very happy with them, however..they don't really work from behind the visor. If I open the visor up then obviously they do, but they don't work through UV coated visors/windsheilds, etc.

Richard died in a motorcycle accident that was at no fault of his own.  We lost a good friend and good member of this board.  Though Rich may be gone, his legacy will live on here.

Too expensive for me. Our insurance only covers one pair of glasses every two years for me. Plus, with the smoke shield I can at least flip up the visor when it gets dark and still see okay. I can't just take off my glasses and ride as I'm near sighted.

I've got a mirrored blue, and a mirrored pink one on my HJC, as well as my clear.

I never ever change my blue one out for anything, daytime or night time.  It isn't so dark that its dangerous at night, but deffinetly darker. And no scratches yet either....  and at only 30 dollars a shield, it isn't so bad if it does get a scratch.

No helmets with swing-in glareshields available in the US? They are pretty popular on the hing-end models hereabouts.

I have a pocket in my Jacket to store the spare shield in.  it wraps the shield around your torso. you don't even feel it there.
worked great until I layed my jacket in a chair and ......well you know... :dunno_white:

I usually wear sunglasses (but I wear them everywhere anyway) I've got a roll of static cling tint that was like $5 I've been meaning to try. That'd be super easy if it worked, easy on, easy off, cheap, you can roll it up and store it....we'll see...

Yes and yes.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

I usually wear sunglasses, but a tinted visor would be cool for the summer time...  Since it doesn't get dark until 9 or 10.  :icon_mrgreen:

I've heard of people making a pocket inside their jacket that holds their spare visor.  It's an idea...  (or just get a big ugly trunk like mine.  O0 )

skoozi12

Has anyone mentioned this (http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/Fog_City_Hyper_Optics_Photochromatic_Face_Sheild_Sticker--32-FC-1.html) ?

It's a fog city insert that is light reactive, so you can wear it day or night without having to swap visors.  I'm thinking of getting one for my clear shield.  I have a clear fogcity on my light smoke shield and it works awesome for fog. 8)

Sorry if it has been mentioned, I'm far too lazy to sort through right now.

If it didn't tint to BLUE, I'd prolly get one of those...

Why would they do blue?  You want to block blue... :icon_confused:
