got a socket set, with an 8mm socket? (to remove the sprocket cover)

maybe some needlenose pliers / flathead screw drivers / butter knife / creativity (to remove circlip)

hm..I know there is a special "circlip removal tool" but hell if I know what it is. anyone know? I used a variation of the above combo personally but I am sure there was a more "proper" way to do it.  :dunno_white:

Something to take off the pinch bolt on the gear shift lever, but I dont remember what. Basic hand tools, really. Nothing fancy needed.

weird tool..

lol, I have no idea what that is.  Anyway, you'll need a pair of circlip pliers if you plan to re-use the same clip.  They're about $10 @ Sears or you could probably borrow a pair from an auto parts store.  They look like this:

-M

buzz

8mm
17mm
12mm deep well or wrench
10mm
snap ring pliers, go ahead and buy them It will only take 2 seconds with this, but alot longer with out.
an adjustable wrench, very handy
needle nose pliers
chain lube

I think that is about it.

Don't listen to anyone here. I remove parts on my GS with simply a hammer. To install... duct tape. :thumb:
