Went for a short ride... Rode a cbr954 RR... that was... interesting to say the least.

I much rather enjoyed riding the GS... mainly for the confidence factor.

Here's a pic

Whenever I upgrade, which hopefully will be soon, I'll be interested in a 954RR.

That sounds like a natural progression from a GS. Hell, get yourself a ZX-14 instead because those RRs are for gheys. :thumb:

I hope my sarcasm is read clear. :dunno_white:

you know, I wouldn't go up to a 954... but I would consider a 600.  The handling was FAR more dependent on throttle control than the GS.  I have a feeling that near doubling the size could be less than.... intelligent.

Yeah, I rode an R6 the other day and that bike was freakin crazy.  It was a kitty cat cat if you are delicate on the throttle, smooth and handled great.  I hit a straight rode and just opened her up in and this face says it all --->  :o.  I am thinking that my next bike will be an SVS but that isn't going to be for a while.  I just want fuel injection

you sure it was a 954 and not a 929 or 900? the lights and bodywork colors dont make sense with the 954. that road looks familiar...

the 954's are solid bikes. I love them.

yeah, yeah. I was confused with the pic you posted in first post-seemed it was you on the 954. :icon_rolleyes:

the 954 in your garage is one of the nicest colors they had. thats a 2004, no? the red is classic too. If I ever got a liter that would be high on my list, but the "liter bike list" is lost in the junk drawer in the kitchen, so to speak...a 600F4i would be easier to ride than that 954.

no, its a 2003.

He bought it with only 78 miles from a guy last month.

62 year old man bought it, rode it once, and decided it was "too rough" for him.

price wasn't discussed, but I know it was a deal that couldn't be refused, and from what was said (i.e. how he made fun of me)  It was about what I paid for my GS from the dealership.

if it was...that was indeed a deal too good to pass up. I can also see how the new cbr1000rr would be more desirable all around...but less comfortable.

kick ass bike.

The new CBR1000RR looks like a wild piece of arse.  That 954 would be a great pick up for $5000-6000.

My next bike is going to be an RC51, just so you guys know.

I wish we had roads like those over here in England. The roads i ride on are never that smooth or near as wide as that. And usually never dry either  Although it teaches you to be fast in very tight and twisty conditions. Those roads could be immensly fast :)
