Well.. I did it. I fit my gs into my parents CRV inorder to take the bike down to campus. Definitely gonna be a nice mode of transportation while I'm knocking out a class or two over the summer.

PS.  :flipoff: to everyone who said it couldn't be done.

PPS. Just needed to compress the front suspension a bit and loosen/rotate the handlebars down on the bike. I did however have to remove one of the 60/40 middle seats. No biggy... just 4 12mm bolts.

"downward facing dog" a lil yoga move i picked up from the girlfriend  ;)

Oh and it helps to load the bike with the car on lower ground. My driveway is sort of a large ramp so with the CRV off the driveway the board had so little grade that I was pretty much able to push it up myself.  8)

EDIT:

If I would have removed the front passenger seat the bike would have fit even nicer but it worked without. A passenger easily sat on the other middle row seat.

maybe someone should have told you... it's a lot easier to just ride the bike itself.  :icon_mrgreen:
j/k... but what kept you from doing that?

CRXDrew

150 miles, all open highway w/ lots of large trucking traffic, in the rain? no thanks.

Wow!  I'm impressed!   :thumb:  :icon_lol:

And, yeah, 150 miles on a new to you bike, and you haven't ridden that long.  Kudos to you for the wisdom to avoid potential disaster.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof, is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools....

Thanks to advances in automation, Nike shoes will be made by robots. Unfortunately, the robots will be made by children in Malaysia.

I like how you laid out the blue tarp to protect the GS from blemishes from the interior :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

Take car of that baby:-))

Good luck with the new bike!!

:icon_razz: CRV is pretty new... and it has mint ivory leather... I wouldn't want too much of the new car smell on the bike.

For your next trick, let's see you put it in the back of the CRX!   :icon_mrgreen:

for the bike or the CRX, i'm confused as to which is the cart and which is the horse

When I had my CRX, its "payload" was 400 lbs..and it explicitly warned against towing...I had the HF model....are other models heartier souls?
