When I had my CRX, it's "payload" was 400 lbs..and it explicitly warned against towing...I had the HF model....are other models heartier souls?

merely manufacturer suggestions. Also... the HF has what... 52hp?

I've seen a CRX tow a CRX.
integra tow an integra
prelude tow an integra

and even an S2000 tow a bike and trailer!

My unibody in the rear is nice and solid as far as I can tell plus I'm making a bunch more power in the upper 100's lower 200's. Just have to take it nice and easy.... no launches off the line  :cookoo:

If that much!  I got him for his good gas mileage, and he was a faithful friend for about 14 years...then my son killed him...  :o

P.S. More pics if you ever do tow with your CRX!  :thumb: :icon_mrgreen:

Hipocracy.... becoming more acceptable with the more power you think you have.

Holy COW. Thats awesome. Im considering buying a GS thats about 200 miles away, and Im going to need to either tow/trailer it...or....TRY AND FIT INTO A MINI VAN.

Its funny that you posted this, because I might try and fit one in a Honda Odessey next weekend and Im worried some.
I dont know. Did you happen to meassure things before trying to get it all in there, and would you happen to remember the highest point on the bike after buckling down the front forks? Looking at your pics, the rear end looks to be sticking up pretty high...

From the pics, it looks as though I might have a little more room to work with....but Im bad at eye-balling things.

Another funny thing is, this bike I speak of....is the same color.

Oh yea, how the heck did you wheel it up there with out it falling over on you?

Any help you can share would be GREAT...

Thanks

37ish inches max height with suspension compressed and bars down
72ish long? I forget exactly.

With middle seats removed I bet an oddesey would be perfect.

Oh and note in my pics I had a board to roll the bike up with. atleast 3 people is nice too.

That would be funny as hell. Wait till she is sleep and have a friend help me throw it in there. I think she would try to kill me in the morning when she seen it. She is pregnant right now with our first kids, i try to stay on her goodside to say the least.

HA HA HAAA!!!! That's freakin awesome! Impressive shoving-big-things-in-small-places skills, man. I bought a bike from northern San Diego, and the guy I bought it from was kind enough to haul it 80 miles north to LA for me :D That was a huge help, seein as I drove to check it out in a little 2 seater. I don't know anyone with a truck  :icon_confused:

moon_raker

So yea, this weekend I did end up getting the bike.

It went into y moms mini van, a honda odessey with NO PROBLEM.

Just had to drop the bars down and the gauges....got it on with help, although it wasnt really needed.

Got it home and unloaded it all by myself, down a 2x4 plank...no biggie.

Wheeeeeeew....glad thats over. I was stressing over nothing.

Thanks

moon_raker,
Did you take any sweet pictures?

Whats up man....I just now found this! So's I wasnt ignoring you...sorry.

Yup, I got pics...although Im not sure I got any of it in the van.
Im at school right now, so I'll post some pics later when I get home.

HOPEFULLY I uploaded them off my digi cam....BEFORE I DROPPED IT LAST WEEK.

Which sucks because I just began breaking the bike down to begin building/customizing it....and I took a few pics before breaking it down...then DOH, dropped the cam....and now it wont work really....it turns on, but then turns right back off.

I know I got pics of it when I picked it up though....Ill get 'em up later...

In the mean time, Im really enjoying toying with this bike so far. Everything has been really straight foward as far as design and mechanics....although I havent cracked open the engine yet....but everything else is GRAVY, I love it.

Im going to make my own rear cowl though. Somehow. Probably get some styrofoam, shape it, make me a nice mock cowl, then fiber glass it or carbon fiber it...then dig out the styro or something???
GOOD TIMES.
Anyway, laters!!

Wow, now that makes me want to go measure the back of my Toyota Matrix. Just another reason to love our little GS.
Being naked was great, but now that I'm older I thought I should cover up!!!!

Not impressed.  I put a bandit 400, FZ600, spare engine for both, spare FZ tank, bandit body work, three paddock stands, a 6' 2X12, 10 gallon fuel can and a strawberry snow cone in the back of a Caravan.

Put it in the CRX and I'll be impressed.
