Best tank bag

Hey everyone.  I'm trying to get some feedback on tank bags.  I want to start taking my bike to work, but I need to carry my laptop everyday.  Anyone doing this now?  Any feedback would be appreciated!!!

For a laptop I would go with a backpack.  They make special laptop backpacks with foam protection.  Check out CompUSA.  I wouldnt put a laptop in a tank bag because of the vibration.  Although a tankbag can hold a rain suit and extra layer clothing for colder conditions (its amazing how a 80 degree day can go totally sour)) .  I have an eclipse tank bag which is close to 15 years old and still works great.

Use a backpack or a tailbag. I have a tailbag for my GS, the Tourmaster Cortech. Love it. The Cortech Sport probably looks alot better. Non-slip bottom, bungees built in that clip directly to the tie down hooks on my (93) GS.

For a tankbag, I use the tourmaster mini magnetic. Its not really that small - holds a face shield and lots of other crap, like gatorade or a 3L cameback bladder. It also fits right on top of the GS's tank with no interferance from the handlebars.

I also have a cortech mini magnetic bag, it's not really little like the super mini ones. I think it's a great size. I wouldn't pay the 80 bucks my dealer wants for one, I think I got it for like 40 off of ebay.

I looked at some in the store and they looked pretty good.
They also looked like they were shaped  better than the tadpole bags for carrying office gear.

i have a Nelson-Rigg tank bag, that i love (i got flamed here for saying "i heart my tankbag"...but you know what? i do.):



However, i am not ever planning on putting my laptop in there. Strong magnets and laptops don't seem like they'd make good company. i know other people have done it without problems...but i can't risk it.

If you're going to transport a laptop or anything else that's sensitive to vibration and magnets (ie. anything with a hard drive like an iPod or even flash media devices), make sure you do it in a backpack. Your body will absorb the vibration that your bike frame can't if it's sitting on your back and not on your tank or tail.
