Are these the F4 pegs that can be fitted to the GS?  Anyone have these and know if the hole for the bolt is the same size. I'm assuming they pegs need to be grinded a bit to fit the narrow width of the GS bracket?

very cool...
I think the pegs listed on ebay are rear pegs. Are they the same angle as the front?  Im trying to find a set for the front.

mondo27

no the front have a different angle. i used the same pegs for the front. had a lot more to grind/cut on the front to get them to fold back

I just put some on my bike too. Took a lot of grinding (and some hacksawing) to get them to fit, but they came out nicely. No spring return though, so be careful!

Alpha,

i was wondering if you ever got them. looks like you didn't waste any time getting them on. looks good.  :thumb: did you have to adjust your shift pedal to compensate for the lower peg height?

What does that do? Is it for if you scrape the pegs while riding?

No adjustment was necessary, but it did take me 2 hours to get the first peg on. Only an hour to get the second one on though. You have to grind both sides, the back, and the bottom. I hacksawed off a pretty decent part of the back of the peg and used a grinding wheel on a drill to take care of the rest. Would have been practicacllly impossible with anything less.

That, or if you're moving your feet on the pegs from the arch of your foot to the ball of your foot and you push back and it drags on the peg it will bring the peg up too. With no spring return they will stay folded. Just be careful and don't drag pegs and you'll be fine!

Yeah, it cleans up the looks a lot. As soon as I get one more I'll be doing the passenger pegs too.

all i had was a pair of files (medium, fine) and a hacksaw....lets just say it took me more than 3 hours for all 4 pegs. it did get me out of the house and some free time to myself.  :icon_mrgreen:` i also had to endure the dirty looks from my wife everytime she came out to see what i was doing.
