I just put my Dynojet kit back in. Some how I got a piece of debri stuck behind the float needle seat that was causing my float on the right carb to stick every now and then and flood that cylinder. I had went back to stock jetting bumped up the main and shimmed the needle and it was a hair on the lean side but ran fine until the float stuck. Well after this last time when I actually found why my float was sticking I decide to put the DynoJet kit back in. I set the needle clip 4th down like it says, put the mixture screws at 3 turns out and installed the DJ132 mains. I have a drop in K&N and a Laser full system. I just went for a short ride and it is still a tad lean I think on the needles, the top end pulls strong and acceleration is great. I'm a tad rich at idle. No big deal to adjust the idle mixture, but I think I'll leave the needles alone for now. It's only about 60* out and it is supposed to be 85* tomorrow.  The moral of my story?? You must have screwed something up. Just be patient and double check everything. The kit does work, I know I gave up on it once too, but it does work. Good luck  :thumb:

I know I'm not a master mechanic.  I know it is something simple that I f'd up.  I'm glad to hear someone os having success.

Yeah I wasn't trying to be a smart arse. I still haven't got mine dialed in. I'd say I'm at 90%. I still have a slight lean back fire on decel and a slight stumble on hard accel. I am assuming this is lean also. I switched to the DJ128 (from 132)mains because I thought the top end was too much fuel, but  it didn't change. I adjusted the floats they were about 1/4 below the top of the bowls, this didn't help. I even lowered the clips on the needle and it didn't seem to help. I am most disapointed by the piss poor directions in the kit. Like "install clip on 4th position from top". Well what about elevation? This clip setting will be different from sea level to 8,000 ft. as well as the mains. I only have 1 more postion to go and I'm out of room. I guess if that doesn't take the back fire out I'll have to add shims.  O0
