I know I know, "A NISSAN SENTRA",  but listen.  when i first started driving I had a old 90 sentra. We had a problem with the engine and so we got it overhauled and bored the cyclinders and it was so fast that my butt would bleed when I'd hit the gas

I will be getting it in about 6 weeks!!!

Decent.  You've got to get the Nismo version.
2003 Honda VTR1000F Super Hawk 996

Many of the ancients believe that Jake D was made of solid stone.

I cant find any specs on the nismo version

CRXDrew

Not bad. nice tq... could definitely use more in the hp department.

I think I would get something with at least 40 MPG...   :dunno_white:

Why get a fast car when you have a bike?

$5.00 a gallon isn't that far off.

TadMC

well it is a 4 cylinder

So?

Honda S2000 -  237HP (2.2L)
Honda Civic Si - 197HP (2.0L)
Toyota Celica - 180HP (1.8L)
Lotus Elise - 190HP (1.8L)
Mazda MX-5 Miata - 170HP (2.0L)
Mazda MX-5 Mazdaspeed Miata -  178HP (1.8L)

Most of those are RWD too, rather than FWD (I hate FWD though).
They also all get pretty decent gas mileage, too.

Toyota has its own "aftermarket" parts. TRD. Lotus has accessory upgrades. So does Honda and Miata. They might not be "licensed aftermarket" but they are factory upgrades.

Mini Cooper S - 168HP (1.6L)
Mini Cooper S JCW - 207HP (1.6L)
Mini Cooper S JCW GP - 214HP (1.6L)

And they handle great too, from what I've read.

Yeah. I tried listing (mostly) naturally aspirated cars to show that decent power out of a small engine is entirely possible. I think the Honda S2000 got a world record for getting the most power per liter in a production car.

However, the most powerful (per liter) naturally aspirated engine was a Honda race engine a few years back, IIRC. Something like 1000HP out of a 1.3L engine. Freakin' insane.

Yea Honda definitely owns when it comes to low displacement high revving hp makers. 100 hp to the liter is definitely one of their greatest achievements.

Sure those 1000hp 1.3's were NA? I recall a race series where they had 1.3's and i believe 1.4's that were running some ridiculous boost level. They were shy of 1000 hp but they were still pushing more than 30lbs of boost.
