Well its no secret, several people here know, but I haven't officially said it either ...
My son has autism, and I have been wrapped up trying to find treatments and therapies for him, and spending time working on it.
The move to another county and so on is also related to it and services for him are better where we are trying to move to.
Its been time consuming and taxing to say the least, so flanges and bars and bike nic nacs have pretty much come to a grinding halt ... I will also blame the weather and welder here ... but in all reality it was very late before it even got to here ...  ...
The good news is ... kiddo is improving and the treatments are working, but it still is eating up a lot of time ...  :thumb:
In case anyone has ideas about what worked for other autistic kids, let me know.
In case anyone wants to know what we are doing to help, again let me know, and I'll tell you.
Thanks and sorry for all the wishy-washy delays ... no real reason to not have told y'all but I just didn't remember to ...
Cool.
Srinath.

I'm sorry to hear all this sad news, and at the same time it makes me feel bad about myself for all the harrassment you've received about supposedly "dragging your feet".

As far as help, my GF is a special needs educator, and I can see if she's heard of anything in the way of autism thearpy/treatments, or any good support groups for family members.

my friends fiance is a teacher for autistic kids, teaching art. there are lots of great programs out there. in CA I know of C.A.R.D. and a few others. Depending on the severity its totally possible to lead a normal life (yours AND theirs).

good luck. keep us posted. I wish you well.

I have heard great things about therapy involving music and art. Not ground-breaking news by any means, but I thought I'd throw that out there.

Good luck, I hope things turn out well for you and your family.

Pantablo- CA is great, they started and developed ABA and pretty much got all the schools to do it. CA's schools suck I know, but that is due to the large non english speaking population ... atleast in part and the special ED is so great, its considered the gold standard for teaching kids with autism ...
Now My son is getting better with a therapy called chelation. I have been spending a much time on the autism board its insane but its a potentially off the label treatment and he is getting better, hope he gets fully better.
Wrecent - Yes they'd (The CDC, IOM, American association of pediatricians, and pharmaceutical companies) would like us to believe its hereditary and the smart people today are autistic and what not ... I now believe autism is a made up disease for people who have had reactions to mercury in vaccines or mercury otherwise.
Music therapy and what not, I think my son is too high functioning for it to work. I will try it in a bit I think though, when his school is out for summer.

Dude that's a totally tough thing to deal with.

You said he can get fully better.  How is this possible?  I have to admit I know nothing about autism, but I thought it was a physical brain defect that caused it.  Obviously this can't be true if kids can be cured.  Sounds good to me though -I hope kiddo recovers fully.

Sorry to hear that Srinath.  Sounds like your putting the right focus on your life, however.

I am sorry to hear about your son srinath. I hope things work out. Its good that he is seeing results. I know a few autistic kids that havent seen results yet. So there is good chance he will lead a normal life.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof, is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools....

Thanks to advances in automation, Nike shoes will be made by robots. Unfortunately, the robots will be made by children in Malaysia.

The whole autism in my opinion and its not really substantiated by anything other than anecdotal evidence from people who have done it before ...
Autism is nothing but mercury poisoning. Mercury is considered to be 5,000 times more toxic than lead. FDA's limits for mercury intake are 5,000 th the amounts for lead.

Now Mercury is present in all vaccines till 2001 and even after that flu shots and most speciality vaccines like the anthrax scare of a few years ago have mercury. They have had since 1930 and they have never been tested by the FDA. It was grandfathered in because it was older than FDA. In 2001 they voluntarily removed it and Gov Schwarzzennegger banned it for use in CA. Most other states dont have a ban, and vaccines have a shelf life of 10 years. In 2003 and 04 my son got vaccines made in 1998.

The Chelation agents were developed in the USSR for removing various metals. the side effect they all have is ... they remove zinc and selenium as well as other essential metals. Chelation is just a term for removing something.

EDTA is the most commonly used chelator in most cases and its a food additive. Its an excellent chelator of lead. In any case I believe its mercury, and whether the kids will get better with removal of mercury is to be seen, and depends on individual cases. In rare cases they would have gotten rid of the mercury normally and still be impaired. Permanent damage is also possible. The sooner you remove and more of the mercury you remove the better the chances of recovery are.

In any case we are doing something that has been denounced by the medical community who insists that mercury is safe in vaccines. We remove it and it seems to work.
There are some very good sites to visit for this. Check out generationrescue.org and many other BBS type sites.

Send any one to that site and send them to me if you know someone who has an autistic child.

Cool.

I just hope that every autistic kid's parents find something that works for their kid. Autism is a entirely made up disease.
Doctors and pharma companies created it and they are working on sustaining it and hoping to sell drugs to treat symptoms of these kids into their adulthood.
I know of several cases of kids who are on over a dozen different medications ... one for allergies, one for depression one for seizures ... so many. I can just see the pharma companies raking it in. No reason they'd want to stop that gravy train.
Cool.
