cannoniv - same place as the headlights,  www.streetfighterstore.com.  15 led's per signal light - one of the brightest i've seen, day or night.  no more difficult to install compared to any type of aftermarket turn signals (halogen or led), so if one consders installing turn signals easy, then these are easy to install, if one considers them difficult, then these are difficult - type of thing.  just popped in an electronic relay which isn't load dependant (to fix the fast blink led symptom), which took an extra couple of minutes.

alphafire - thanks and yes, plug and play (comes with a splitter harness).  I've got some bosche relays that I'll eventually use to wire directly to the battery and use the factory switch to control, but for now, just plugged into the factory harness.

after a little more tinkering this past winter, I got the gs back together a little while ago in time for the new season.  took some pics after a ride today and thought I'd post them up.  since it's the same deal as last year, figured I'd just reuse this old thread instead of starting a new one.

picked up some clipons and powder coated top triple plate, cluster housing and exhaust.  also picked up some new mirrors, grips and stainless steel bar end weights (nice and heavy) that had hard to find 14mm diameter inserts - had to go this route, since I also replaced stock clip on tubes with thicker 1/8th walled pipe.  also threw on some r&g sliders, a new av46 rear hoop and replaced the rear rotor, while I had the wheel off.   


slow and steady - not in the same league as projects from guys like dgyver and werase643, but I got nothing but luv for my gs, just the same...

Looks good.  So how is the dampner holding up? Notice any difference with it?

thx - damper is fine.  it has 7 levels of damping.  on full, it's stiff and slows the steering quite a bit.  I hardly ever that setting, except on say long straight hwy rides, with some cross wind.  at the softest setting, i'm not sure I even notice it's there.  i usually keep it a tick or 2 from the softest.

Pretty cool that you're into subarus, I drive a 96 Impreza which I have effectivey beat to shaZam!, and my brother has a handful of them (he's really into the subaru thing, got about 30 of them)

And that damper is definitely cool too..

They're just stock clipons from an 89 GS (the only year they came here) – found them in the classified here – just keep your eyes open.  they don't pop up too often, but you'll catch one sooner or later if you're so inclined.

K&N drop in, without restrictor, 130/40, on the middle clip (Canadian needles are adjustable), 2.5 turns out.

I'm actually running a richer setup jet wise then most people here for air filter and pipe.  Being in Canada, I ride during the beginning and end of the season down to like 0-3 C (about 32 F).  With the coldest mornings, I have a short warm up time on the way to work and nice smooth mid range.  Pulling the plugs at 9-10k shows hint of grey/light golden brown.  Not black at all.  Had 127's but was less colour and had a few flat spots up top.  Like I said, I know folks down there run a step or 2 less, but this setup seems to work for me. 

what bar end mirrors are those??

just some crg knock offs - found them on ebay.  they're aluminum and come with an insert which can be removed to clamp on the bar itself, or leave them in, replacing the barends if you'd like.  they also come in silver.  the store on ebay that I got them from can also be found in the link below.  cheapest I could find at the time and they shipped fast for me.   they work well and no vibes at all.
