So im out in the driveway with the bike and the laptop.  I had a problem when starting the gs500 for the fist time this year that it wouldn't start hardly.. when it did i couldn't touch the throttle without the bike dying, and it ran very low rpm when on full choke.. so i decided to start taking her apart. i have gotten to pulling the air box which was full of fuel.  i then checked the fuel lines and in the process noticed very dirty gas so i decided to drain it.  its draining right now. my friend is running to get carb cleaner and some starting fluid for when we put new gas in her.  Any ideas, things to do, anything sound familiar?

There is crap in the float needles keeping them from closing....hence the fuel in the air box.
Common sense in not very common.

i had the same problem with fuel in my air box come to find out my float needle where in back wards but if the carb hasnt been taken apart i would say that there is something making the float stick take the bowls off and take the floats out spray some berrymans b12 in there and try that
