The way I did. I put everything on both sides(easiest way to do it) bolted the bars down and positioned everything the best way i could. As for the grip, hit with some WD and slid it on. You shouldnt have any other obstacles on the clutch side of the bar.  O0

Yeah, haha, now I realized I'm an idiot! I just had the clutch lever on the wrong wide of the turn signal cluster thing. doh! I just got back home a few hours ago, so please don't hit me too hard. But I'm still concerned about the wires and brake line on the right side. They really hit the fairing pretty good.

You may want to untangle the wires on the right? Not sure how you have them. As far as the brakeline, I dont have an F(yet :icon_mrgreen:) Not quite familiar with your issue, I have noticed that the brake line is pretty tight. Maybe you might want to try and reposition it some. Loosen the banjo line and manuever it around some to try and gain more slack.  O0

The clutch lever hits on the little cluster thing with the turn signals, choke.... when pulled in, is that normal?

P....your clutch lever bracket(what attaches to the bar) should touch the signal box. The arc or bend in the clutch lever should touch the grip when fully compressed  O0

Yeah, that's right,P. It didnt do that before? Maybe you should just leave it pointed down like in the first pic?

That is down, I turned the camera to get a good shot of the lever, it is the same in both pics.

also, i tried to loosen the brake line thing to rotate the line up a tad more, and that nut is sooo f#$@%!* tight! I don't see how they got it on there without braking the damn thing.

IDK,P.  I have a 90 so my controls are slightly different than yours. Twist the signal box down or up and maybe it will clear. From the pic, it looks like the clutch is fully engaged so I wouldnt worry about it.

I always say, I'll never do another mod to my car/motorcycle, everytime i get done with one, but then in a month I'm ready to change something else. I don't think I've ever had 1 bolt on for my car/motorcycle that was as easy as they say. Except for the progressive springs install, that was truly easy.

Here's some pics of the cables and stuff turning the bars to the left at full lock. Not sure if it's a big deal or not....

I took it for a ride and it feels great. I guess the only thing I'm worried about is the brake line, how it is curved around.

Russel SS line from MAW meant for the GS. It'll fit better without lower bars.

pantablo

you should be alright with the brake like as it is all curled up. same as mine was. so long as its positioned so it wont ever gat caught between the triples and the frame stop you're fine. thats all I ever worried about with mine. brakes worked fine. also, I didnt have any issues with the clutch as you think you do.  my 01 has the same switchgear clusters as you do as well.

you'll love those bars!
