Jackets for the hefty

Hey all,

So after the big hissy fit I threw about the "$119 Jacket and HJC Helmet" offer from MotoXOutlet, they finally came through and sent the items. Helmet is great, but the jacket does not fit.    It fits fine in the shoulders and chest, but the waist is waaaaay too short. So it's up on eBay now.

What I would like to know is if anyone out there has found a jacket that fits well for those of us who are more than skinny. The Joe Rocket seemed like it was designed for someone with big shoulders but a skinny waist. I have the big shoulders, but the waist is somewhat more than skinny. Ok, a lot more than skinny. The Joe Rocket was a XXL, but I don't want to go to a XXXL, because it will probably fit too loose on top. Anyway, suggestions are welcome. And I'm looking for a mesh jacket, by the way.

It's not mesh, but I have a Joe Rocket Ballistic jacket in 3X-Tall, and it fits me well.  I'm 6'2", 320lbs with a very wide frame and a lot of my height in my torso.  It fits me great, but I do have broad shoulders.

I thought most jackets were made for bigger guys...  I'm 6' 180 LBS...  And SMALL jackets are too big around my gut.  In what world am I a small?

So, I guess jackets are made for guys that are 5'10" 200...  No more, no less.

I see what you're saying. 

It's not so much that the jacket doesn't fit around my waist, but more that it's just not long enough. I guess an XXL Tall would probably do the trick. I'm looking at this one now

AH!  Yeah... You gotta look at "Tall" jackets or 3/4 length jackets.

Certain mfrs have "Tall" sizes, but most don't...  My friend is having a similar problem...  All that pants that fit his skinny ass only fit about mid-shin...

It must suck to be 6'3" and 170lbs...

Some of the jackets come in tall's but you have to check which ones.
