can anyone tell me how i would prep a wheel for painting

FzArEkTaH

I'd get them sandblasted

Clean wheels
-soap water
-dry
-degrease with "paint prep" or something similar

buy 3M scotch bright pads. (green kind)

sand away

degrease again

and again

tape off tires if not removed

spray SEVERAL LIGHT coats.

I didn't even prime with my wheels or clear coat them. They still look fasntastic and only have maybe 1 or 2 chips on all four wheels after more than a year of hard driving.

Eh... I guess you can go this route... but I'm not really made of money... and using my method people have thought my wheels were factory painted bronze.  8)
