anyone have it? or even the 6102?  i've had samsung for the past 2 phones and was satisfied. i'll never own a motorola. they are POS's.   i had nokias back in the day when everyone had nokias but dont know what they are like in comparison to the rest.  any thoughts?

Crappy UI, but built to last. Sync software sucks if you're going to manage it with your computer. For my money, I stick with Sony Ericsson. :thumb:

Nokia - classic build, simple to use always have been always will, built to last, simply change coveres for cheap when they get scratch etc.. Bad points - boring monotonous, all their phones are the same thing with a different shell, plus they can't match quality componants at the same price as other manufacturers.

My choice: Sony erriccson. I use to own a few nokias and loved them because they were simple and always worked. However i switched to erriccson, menus have same easy to use ability as nokias, phones appear to be hardwearing. Quality componants such as 2MP (megapixel) camera etc. Lots of features, and non of that crap where you accidentally click away from a text message and lose it all. I love my erriccson i have a k750i in black w/silver. I like the looks of the motorollas but they just suck in terms of annoying things like losing messages etc...

If you want reliability get a nokia, if you want something different - anything else (cept motorolla)

is the camera good on this phone? at least decent? what components that you speak of arent good quality?  also when u say 'simple' is that simple as in simple to use or simple as in not many features

The worst phone I have ever had was a Sont Erricson.  The Nokia's and Motorola's I have had have been very good to me.  PLus most of the newer Motorola's are Bluetooth enabled which totally kicks ass!! :thumb:

+1 for Sony Ericssons!  :thumb:

i've had 2 Sony Ericssons (a T300 and a T610)...and they were both great phones. i recently "upgraded" to a RAZR (first moto) and other than the slim-in-the-pocket factor, have been very disappointed. i miss my old Sony. It had better battery life after a year and a half of use than the RAZR does out of the box. The UI on the RAZR is crappy. And the RAZR is too flimsy. It took a short spill out of my tank bag yesterday and cracked the hinge.

But, i hear nothing but good stuff about Nokias (i too haven't had one in some time now). i say Nokia or Sony. Just 2 pennies from the monkey...

Nokias are simple as in simple to use. Very organised and similar to every other nokia ever made. Cept they went and got rid of snake from the new nokias!!!! that did it for me . . . As for the componants, well you just dont get the feel they really spent as much on the phone for what they charge. For example 6230i has a 1.3 mp camera or something, whereas sony erriccson k750i has a 2mp camera and you can buy them for the same price. Also the erriccson fits together well, theres no bendy bits of loose bits such as on the nokias where the covers can warp and misfit. It may sound like a little thing but its something thats always annoyd me when you grab your phone and the corner pushes in and out. Having said that i would have a nokia after my sony erriccson anyday. I wouldn't touch a motorolla - yes they have bluetooth and they usually throw a bluetooth headset in but it sucks. Bluetooth on the razr drains your battery in 15 minutes.

If i were you i would get the nokia if thats what your looking it - you won't be dissappointed by its quality or its functionality, but if you wan't something different and fun id have a sony.

blue tooth really runs the battery down on the phone? i dont see why? there is no speaker or mic or screen to power on the phone itself when u are using a headset.   this nokia im lookin at has bluetooth.  that'd be pretty nice.  also can u change the covers on this phone?

Yea you can, bluetooth when its on and been used such as car handsfree etc, motorollas just go flat in no time. Nokia battery life is pretty good.

Nope, any headset should work. Ive used a motorolla BT headset with my sony.

Bluetooth doesnt run the battery down.  Trust me I know, I am on the phone all the time.

Im curious; how in the hell would Bluetooth run the battery down when it has its own power source?  :cookoo:

thats what i was asking before. what power source does the headset use? AAA battery?

Mine plugs in to an outlet and has a usb connector that plugs into the headset.  Some do use like AAA batteries.

weaselnoze

so u charge it then. good deal. better than buying batteries!
