Anyone from Victoria BC around here?

I'd like to know....

Is there any reason to go to Tofino?  'cause I'm looking for a reason:  Map

Not from Victoria, but if you go, I might have to come with!

It's purtty? Good stay: http://www.crystalcovebeachresort.com/
Surfing is possible: http://www.bruhwilersurf.com/
... it's a nice ride. Some gravel.

RVertigo

Gravel huh?  How much is "some"

After watching "The Long Way Round" I'm not so sure about gravel.

Dr. Love

Depends on construction.  Nothing that the GS can't handle...

RVertigo

I was talking about ME handling it.     I'll drive 50 on a gravel road in my Ford Exploder (which is why it's so broken), but on my GS?  I dunno about that.  :icon_confused:  (Yes, I'm a sissy).

I'm going to victoria next weekend  :icon_lol:
2005 GS500F (blue)
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Soviet Canuckistan

RVertigo

You should bring the GS and ride that!  O0

GS Jenn

Ooh. I don't live in Victoria anymore, but I just moved from there a few months ago.

GO TO TOFINO! I have only done that ride in a car, but have always seen many, many bikes on that road and they all look to be having a blast. I can't recall much gravel at all. Harleys and such manage it, surely the GS could?  Be aware that chances are it will rain on the west coast, it's nearly always raining out there. But it's just spectacular and the surfing is really good.
05 Naked GS, blue.... windscreen, fenderectomy, Progressive springs

RVertigo

Yeah...  I always plan on rain around here...  Stupid convergence zone.

I might be able to pull that ride next year (if I get my M50 :icon_twisted:), but prolly not this year. :icon_confused:
