04 rim swap?

has the rims canged for the 04 and up? or is there any other rim that i can just do a bolt on swap with? i hear u can use the kat rims from 89-97 but just wanted to check if anything has changed. the bike is a 2004 gs500f. any help is appreciated. thanks.

nope all the same. nothing ever changes on the gs, except a few fairing brake and suspension mods, nothing to make the bike any better. in fact they have made the bike slower and heavier over the years

The old Kat rims are the same as the GS rims. The GS rims haven't ever changed.

The suspension is the same between all years. The 2001 naked model weighs the same as the '89 naked model. The F model was the only weight gain.

The colors are the only thing that has changed.  If you are looking for a black wheel (2004-2006) I have a rear one in perfect shape from my 2005.  It is in perfect shape and the bearings feel great.  It only had 1200 miles on it when I removed it.  I'd sell it for $120 including shipping.

or if your willing to pay for postage from uk then you can have either a black katana rim or a white gs rim(paints peeling) for free. crappy 3.5inch rims i don't know why they didn't from the start put a 4.5inch on surly it couldn't have cost that much more

need a black front rim. either that or just swap out both and go with the wider rear, but ya, front is damaged so i need a replacement.
